What can I say - I love prog rock!
still bloody epic in my book the rest of the soundtrack is pretty great too.
This afternoon one after the other is playing off my PC (I converted the CDs to FLAC, as with all of my about 2,000 disks), and I am totally thrilled, not having known much more than "Hocus Pocus" and "Sylvia" so far. They are/were just a fantastic band making exceptional music, and I'm tempted to listen to all those disks in a row again right away. The most surprising thing is that even my wife who tends to loathe "rock" music of any kind (especially electric guitars...and we are talking about Jan Akkerman) is sitting through these hours without complaining in the least. In fact, she likes that music as well. Yet another reason to get into it more regularly.
Phenomenal
I would listen to The Planets every day from a very young age, this particular piece of music you can hear it would have heavily influenced John Williams et al.
Gustav Holst - Mars
Epic!!!
The Planets - Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age - Gustav Holst
The last 3 minutes of this piece of music always felt like regeneration to me
