Mabey Rene Zellweger make a big change now.
Gemma whas very original choose with QOS, but there be remour Eon not happy with her natural voice and ask to work on her voice. Renee Zellweger in my opnion never be Bond material, but with her new look mabey she be more intresting as Quantum member.
Whaaat? Just look at the background. This photo is from the premiere of "Flashbacks of a Fool" from 2008.
latest photoshoot for the Japanese Exile magazine
Actually I think she's way too young for Craig. Would look well dodgy.
Renee Zellweger would make an excellent villain/henchwoman. And the bonus is that she already comes with the obligatory hideous facial disfigurement.
EON would save a fortune on makeup.
What has the poor woman done to her face? Tragic. Almost makes you feel sorry for these people that they feel obliged to go under the knife like this.
I don't think she is waay to young for Craig, she is 31 after all and older than Léa Seydoux but I agree that she does look very young.
Wow. Jones looks about 21.
I assumed Seydoux was older, but was also actually about to say that she too looks a bit young IMO. I thought the women so far (apart from Arterton) in the Craig era have looked about the right age. As Craig gets older they need to beware the sleaze factor. They need actresses in their mid 30s at least.
Also, if you wanted to know how to pronounce Léa's name

I'm not into "beauty for the sake of beauty". I think ever since "Casino Royale" the casting choices from EON Productions has been upgraded substantially. Great acting skills, with equally stunning acting CV's (Oscars) have to be combined with not just beauty you find on every cover....but with unique and original beauty.
And my ultimate choice for an equally complex role that needs visually striking "unique" looks would be this Oscar-winning Scottish actress. Ms Tilda Swinton. She turns 54 November 5th, but I don't give a damn about age :-):
She has these wunderful unique looks. No one can match her original make-up and fashion. In a way she reminds me of Grace Jones, but WITH the wunderful acting skills that these stunning "Bond girls" once had:
Ilse Steppat (Irma Bunt in "OHMSS"):
Lotte Lenya (Rosa Klebb in "FRWL"):
I think indeed this would be a major "casting coup" from Sam Mendes, Barbara Brocolli, Michael Wilson & Debbie McWilliams. If this could be true, then we're in for another fantasting ride of acting excellence and complex written characters.
Helen Mirren and/or Robin Wright would be great names for such a leading Bond-girl annex Bond-villain. But Tilda Swinton would be my prime choice. Moreover, she already starred with Lea Séydoux and Ralph Fiennes in "The Grand Budapest Hotel". And Swinton and Ben Whishaw are sharing the same agent: Hamilton Hodell. All you need to do is dragging her into the role with help of Fiennes, Whishaw, Séydoux, Craig and Mendes :-).
Why should we? We should we always make distinctions? Let's mix up those tags like "Bond girls" and "Bond villains" a bit.
Let's not forget that many reviewers though that Judi Dench was the real Bond girl in "Skyfall". And is Maud Adams a real Bond girl, because she was already 38 during the premiere of "Octopussy"?
In any case, what do you think of casting Tilda Swinton for whatever role? And how would you describe such a role for her then? Rosa Klebb was in many ways the lead villain of FRWL, in that she was the executioner of Kronsteen's plan. But at the same Blofeld was delegating a lot of tasks to both Kronsteen and Klebb. And Klebb has some nice sexual traits with her wip.
The main villain will be a black male actor.
We both are hoping that our wishes, although very different ones, come true.
Mirren would have made a good M.
Don't you think casting Swinton will be in line with what we have seen in previous Bond films with Craig? I mean....Mads Mikkelsen, Judi Dench, Albert Finney, Eva Green, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem........great if Tilda Swinton can be added to that list of stellar actors.
Moreover, I'm in desperate need of a female villain a la Rosa Klebb. I still adore that performance of Lotte Lenya. At that time in 1963 she was still very famous for her Oscar nominated role in "The Roman Spring Of Mrs. Stone". And she already won a Tony Award.
Because they ARE different characters. I am not saying a Bond girl cannot be a villainess of course not. They are not mutually exclusive, but it is not because you are a woman in a Bond movie that you are a Bond girl. In other words, not all female villains are Bond girls, not all female characters in Bond movies are Bond girls. Is Helen McCrory's character in SF a Bond girl? Of course not! Yes, some reviewers said that Judi Dench was the Bond girl in SF, but they don't know what they are talking about: M has a completely different function in the plot and is a completely different character than a Bond girl. Rosa Klebb and Irma Bunt, who are sexually neutral and repulsive, did not and could not, by any stretch of imagination, be romantically involved with Bond. Basically, they are Bond villains who happen to be female (technically, one may add, as they are not exactly feminine). This is of course different with Miss Taro, Fiona Volpe and Elektra King, to name only a few, who are villainess of the femme fatale kind, thus can be (and were) Bond's sexual partners. It is debatable whether or not Moneypenny was or is a Bond girl. I tend to think she started as a Bond girl in SF and loses this status in the film, but that would need a thread of its own.
Now Tilda Swinton could play a great female villain, in the mold of Rosa Klebb and Irma Bunt. I am all for it. But a fifity something Bond girl? It's not going to happen.
Or at least it is very likely.
We have no confirmation of that fact, well that none that I've seen. All I've heard is that they were considering Chiwetel Ejiofor, which more likely means they're looking for a British born actor to play the villain.
What are you talking about? I would prefer a female villain too. L-)
You can't get on-topic either @Ludovico :-P. Because.....there's nothing to say! There's no new news. By the way, people know by now that we're merely outing our best wishes to come true for Bond 24.
Although, one can continue that in here as well :-):
