Don't watch Return of the Jedi then: there's a blues song in it.

I rather liked the music in this in fact. Back to being in the Williams vein after the slightly more original tack of Mando, but it works well.

I forgot Sabine had painted the mural's so it works having visual references to the cartoon and emphasizes her emotional connection to them.

The rock music during the Sabine chase was a little jarring despite it fitting her character, that piece of music did not really fit with the rest of the score. It reminded me of the young Kirk scene from the first J.J. Abrams Star Trek.

I rewatched the first two episodes and enjoyed them more, I actually had fun watching the show which is very rare in recent times when it comes to Star Wars.
  • Really enjoyed SW: Ahsoka Ep 1+2. Relieved actually. Very cinematic and high-budget feeling. Unashamedly I've seen all of Clone Wars and Rebels, but I think casual viewers wouldn't be lost. Intrigued by the new villains!

The Corellia ships yards look stunning, the production on Ahsoka looks way ahead of everything else that proceeded it in Disney Star Wars.

With Disney announcing more movies on September 10, maybe we can hear more about actual projects that won't get cancelled. I still hope for Patty Jenkins and Rogue Squadron, and maybe the Taika Waititi movie. I just hope that he still has a cowriter (Krysty Wilson-Cairns was the original writer). I'd even give Rian Johnson another chance, before he commits to a full trilogy. I don't know if James Mangold will still be directing, as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Density failed financially, but got decent reviews. Something Colin Trevorrow, can't say for any of his movies since Jurassic World. And like others on this thread, I trust Dave Filoni with his material. For now, no more JJ Abrams, please. He really didn't have the fresh vision or story that Star Wars needed to move forward. On with new characters and planets, and Kathleen Kennedy can stay or go for the future. She just needs to behave herself and plan out movies better, and stick to respecting other's visions and not just her own at times! Also, release the original six in their original theatrical releases, as it's the same as IFP censoring Bond book text from history.

Ahsoka E3 'Pew pew, pew pew!' This episode is so stupid I don't know where to begin. I found it entertaining for all the wrong reasons. Very very amateur story telling with good special effects, the writing is nonsense. One particular scene was so stupid it would have worked well in Spaceballs. At least I got a good laugh or two from this.

Ahsoka E1S1 As a fan of Rebels so far Ahsoka is not translating well to live action for me, maybe that will change. The pacing was a bit slow, the episode does not start well as a character makes a very stupid decision, idiotic writing makes everything very predictable.

Viewers who have not seen Rebels maybe a bit lost, this show is basically Rebels season 5. There are too many fourth wall breaks making visual references to the cartoon, they have also made up some back story I don't recall happening.

I gave up on Mando somewhere in season 3. I liked Obi-Wan well enough. Have no great interest in Ahsoka. Mando seasons 1 & 2 and Andor were both amazing to me. I just might have all the SW shows I need, unless Andor season 2 gets finished...

Agree the three seasons you mentioned Mando 1 and 2 and Andor were good, I still have yet to see the last two episodes of Andor, I need to watch them before I unsubscribe from Disney+ again.

I semi watched it with my son last night.
I did make comment that parts of it seemed to be a rip off of ANH.

Yeah absolutely, they even used the same dialogue.

I’m loving Ahsoka. I’ve watched the first three episodes several times now.

It’s wonderful to see that it’s getting such a positive reception from the fans.

Official Trailer for the upcoming Zack Snyder movie Rebel Moon.
Which originally was, apparently, a rejected script of his for a Star Wars movie.

I watched that trailer and can't imagine ever watching that film. Every sci-fi fantasy film you've already seen in one.

It’s Snyder so should be worth a watch.Netflix gives him a lot of creative freedom so it’s probably for the best that it wasn’t a Star Wars film ( KK would have driven it into the ground with her “ Force Is Female “ nonsense ).

While the lead is a female, she’s hopefully we’ll written and not a Mary Sue ( Like Rey ).If I had to guess,Charlie Hunnam is the Han Solo stand in.

Looks good enough that it should be in theaters but il definitely be checking it out once it hits Netflix. And the good news is that Snyder is making hard R rated “ Snyder cuts “ of the two films.

Rebel Moon looks great, its not a high bar though I expect Rebel Moon to be better than any of the Sequel trilogy travesty.

Being better than TROS is a low bar.

But this is coming from the same guy who made SUCKER PUNCH, so I’m not expecting a coherent story from Snyder.

I like Sucker Punch ti has its fans, if I recall just on this site @DarthDimi likes the film. Sucker Punch has great action scenes and a brilliant soundtrack.

    Snyder is definitely marmite.

More power to you guys. I’m just glad he’s no longer attached to DC or any other IP, he can make his own original films on Netflix. I think he’s better off being his own niche.

Ow yes, I know that S.P. is an outrageous film. But I am having a blast with its visuals and music every time.

The extended cut makes the film even better, especially the dragon sequence.

Yes, I understand that zombie one he made for Netflix was pretty dreadful, and this looks similarly appalling; I won't be going near it.

I’d argue REBEL MOON looks visually better than ARMY OF THE DEAD. I was actually surprised by how bad AOTD looked.
