Nice that AVTAK seems to have climbed a bit in your ranking. I remember it always being closer to the bottom of your ranking.
That is an excellent top 10 imho.
Another great top 10. QoS is one of the few where I would disagree with you (I have it much lower and it's dropping with time). I may be joining you with your lowest entry soon. My recent viewing of TWINE didn't go well, but I think I've been a bit too critical of it over the years and may move it from the floor soon.
Thanks. Throughout the many years of watching these films, the top 10 in my list are the ones I've enjoyed watching the most. The only difference with my ranking is "For Your Eyes Only" used to be ranked in my top 10 until the release of Skyfall in 2012, and then it knocked down a little bit to number 11.
lol To each their own. I can't even imagine not liking Goldfinger, but I can see why people wouldn't have it ranked high. Live and Let Die is my third favorite Moore film, and it would be ranked higher if it were not for the noticeable lame Kananga death. It's even worse after you read the novel and you realize the missed opportunities they had with the film.
Yeah, Kentucky is the slow portion of the film which is mainly done to build up towards operation grandslam and develop the relationship more between Bond and Pussy Galore. Probably the best part of the Kentucky scenes is when Bond escapes his cell which is a classic Bond moment. One thing I will say, Connery's delivery of "Bond, James Bond" to Jill Masterson was weaker than his introduction in Dr. No which will never be topped in my opinion. The Live and Let Die novel is borderline racist (even more so than the film), which is no surprise given the period it was written, but it's a great read. I prefer Young as a director over Hamilton. Makes me wonder sometimes how different Goldfinger would be if he returned.

My favorite part of this ranking might be DN above FRWL; refreshing to see I'm not the only one who has it that way! Also just seeing FRWL outside the top 5, but still in the top 10. I like it a lot, but it is personally more in the 6-10 range than the 1-5 for me.
I wanted to place OHMSS in the top five so FRWL was the sacrifice. I also raised LALD quite a bit and MR.
I ended up raising SF just above CR. I love them both, though. OP is ranked high for me since it was the first one my folks bought on VHS when I was a kid.
In a way I hate putting his films so low, since my rankings are mostly nostalgia. I've got some great memories catching the Pierce films opening night. I'll probably raise GE again once I've re watched it. If only Pierce had done one or two more.............

I can see FYEO and YOLT moving up the list next year,i am due a watch of both of them..been a long time.
...only kiddin'
I find it fascinating how differently the films are perceived. There seem to be only a few films that are almost always up there.
Very happy that OHMSS belongs to that category!
QOS is my go to Bond film when im pushed for time, just like DAD & TND are ones I always go to when i'm pissed as a fart,Andi .(Which is often he he ).
As for OHMSS,it is always a three-way battle for #1 spot with FRWL & CR .
No other films enter my top 3 ,just these ones, battling and swapping around all the time haha.
Craig's performance, the bullet like pace, Arnold's best score, the cinematography, and the overall badassery are a few ways I enjoy it. Lol we all got an opinion.
