Probably FRWL or OHMSS but I am guessing.
Frankly there are enough action blockbusters with Americans in the lead role.
Although I do think OHMSS, whilst very good (my no. 8) is overrated...
EDIT: On here.
But I definitely recognize it as a very well executed film in many ways. But yeah, I'm surprised how little flack I've gotten for that over the last 2 years or whatever I've been on here.

So despite the vocal few, general sentiments on QoS, SF, GE are consistent, and Spectre is above average in this forum and is sitting about 65% up the list which is around the RT score
Very odd how so many people gloss over the pacing issues in OHMSS.
I would argue that above all other problems, that the movie's pacing is the main reason casual fans aren't able to appreciate the film. The film can really drag in that hour long stretch from after Marc-Ange Draco to before the ski chase.
Another reason why OHMSS just misses my top 10 is that the villain's plan is ridiculous, even for a Bond film. The whole Brainwashing of young ladies is just far-fetched. And finally Bond does not even kill Blofeld. So Blofeld could just use another radio station to contact the women.
Yeah, the film feels like it's three hours long if you try to watch it from start to end. The middle section of the film is just so incredibly slow and poorly paced that it's hard to keep your interest (the first time I watched it, I skipped the safe cracking right up until Bond started escaping from Piz Gloria).
I understand the cinematography, score and action are amazing, but that doesn't make up for the sheer ineptness of the pacing - quite possibly the worst of any Bond film. There's no Bond film that feels nearly as long or tedious as OHMSS, and that includes TB with all the underwater scenes.
I once was a youngster myself, and felt the same way about DN and FRWL back then, so you are forgiven. You may change your mind when you grow up.
I never saw OHMSS that way though, and I was 14 when I first saw it at a cinematic rerun.
No, who am I kidding? You are just bonkers.
Have to agree there, @Thunderfinger.
The fact that the film takes its time and builds up to an exhilarating pay-off is one of the reasons OHMSS is my favourite Bond film.
Exactly. And I did throw it a vote in the game, mind you.
This is insulting. Even though I agree with you that the pacing isn't OHMSS' problem. Still, man. Harsh.
"When you grow up" is just ageist and condescending. Whether you were joking around with him or not. Hardly a mature thing to say for someone so "grown up" and enlightened such as yourself.
I'm not trying to be an asshole, for the record. Or do a moderator's job. But it's not hard to be respectful of dissenting views.
L O N G E R! =P~ @-)
Lately I wonder if it is not OHMSS after all.
It is crowed at the top and even in the middle field but decisions have to be made and I have made mine by the end of 2015.
My Top 10:
1 SP
2 GE
3 OHMSS
4 TLD
5 CR
6 OP
7 FRWL
8 FYEO
9 GF
10 LTK
Personal opinion, but for me I can tell he was straight up not an actor. And he doesn't play Bond right - he's far too chipper, like a boy scout who is excited to learn how to set up camp with limited resources. He's excited. That's not Bond. There's none of the world weariness that Fleming's Bond, and many of the cinematic incarnations, exude.
That said, he does surprise me pleasantly in a few moments, and this film has some of my favorite shots in the series ("casino" reflected on that pool ranks up there in my top 5 shots of the franchise. Stunning. Pure Bond.)
One must be harsh to get to those youngsters. At least I didn t hit them.
At least not with any witnesses around.
DN and FRWL are my third-favourite and second-favourite films in Connery's era respectively (9 and 6 on my list), and I find both of them become more and more suspenseful as they go on. Although I did and sometimes still do find them a little boring in their first halves.
As far as I'm concerned, OHMSS does well in its first act, very poorly in its second act and is very good in its third act. I do not hate OHMSS, it is currently 8 on my list, it's just that by the time they are ice-skating, a good percentage of first-time viewers and lots of casual fans are going to tune out. There is no thrill or excitement in learning about allergy treatment and the brainwashing of girls by telling them to 'love chickens'. It drags. There, I said it. It is simply not fun to watch and therefore it fails in sustaining interest.
That is my opinion, and you'll note that whilst I do not agree with yours I did not and do not intend to call you 'bonkers' or to instruct you to 'grow up'. Tell me how and in what way that was in any way deserved.
I say this at the risk of sounding arrogant because it is difficult for people to criticise FRWL and particularly OHMSS on these boards without being shot down aggressively.
:))
I'm in my mid-thirties, and I have "grown up" since then - that's why I can now properly watch all of OHMSS without having to distract myself. And actually, while I did find DN rather slow at first, I never had that problem about FRWL. It's definitely slow, but for some reason it's captivating - OHMSS, at first, wasn't, and that could well be due to Lazenby's rather uncharismatic performance.
Even to this day, though, half of the clinic scenes stretch the viewer's patience and the entire segment about hypnosis is frankly laughable at best. OHMSS is a very good film and it has many strengths, but pacing is not among them.
I'm not seeing the need to be aggressive here. Everybody has differing opinions on films, and Bond is no exception. There's no need to attack other people for having different opinions. And while OHMSS is very highly respected on this board, and I can see why, there's a reason for why its box office (adjusted for inflation) performance was third-last in the entire franchise. You can't blame people from a later era with inferior attention spans for this, because that money was made back in 1969. There's obviously something that upset the appeal to casual fans.
