    @pachazo

Great reviews of both DN and LALD (the two Quarrel films, both books and films).

And yes the early films do look magnificent on blu-ray!

I watched Casino Royale last Monday. I wasn't going to post in this thread, as I'm sure you're bored of me and my reviews.

Still, I just thought I'd mention the suits. I'd never realized how ill fitting Craig's suits are in CR. I much prefer his QoS suits, as the ones on display in CR, are too baggy. (And I don't like his trousers in SF also. The cut of them is too skinny.) :D

Just finished FRWL. If you ask me, this is the best Bond on Blu-Ray! Everything is just so sharp and clear. Both picture and sound. The film itself is brilliant. Though just like with DN it does feel like something s missing. And efter this viewing it´s now official! Red Grant is my favourite henchmen!

As for fashion, riffing off of what @royale65 said, I like Craig's suits the most in Skyfall but I think he looks on-point all the time as Bond. Likely a result of fashion being very much kept in mind during these most recent films.

I´m now done with GF! Well, for the first time ever I finally saw what´s so special about it! I really really liked it actually! I still don´t think that Pussy Galore is hot... at all, but apart from that it was pretty damn good!

    Wonderful top three!
  • Today I watched both TB and YOLT. Well, TB is superb! It´s pure Bond all the way through! YOLT on the other hand was not as great a I remembered it though it was still entertaining.

Mine too! I really don´t see why people don´t like it! Sure, there´s alot of underwater-stuff going on but there´s still so much more to love in it. And Connery does an outstanding preformance as Bond! In all honesty, I think he´s better in TB than GF...

I feel the same way. My only real problem with the movie is the mask he wears near the end keeps switching from blue to black because of the editing...

I agree. That really takes me out of the moment every time I´m watching it :(( Though the climax of the film, on the "Disco Volante" could have and should have had better backprojection... Apart from those things the film is bloody brilliant :)

He says it in such a relaxed way wich I love!
What are you opinions on Fiona?

Fiona was too awesome. Between her & Domino it's an absolute babefest.

I watched YOLT last night. As always, I had fun with it. Connery is not nearly as phoning it in as peeps say IMHO, but the whole movie seems a bit lethargic (despite some cracking action scenes) possibly due to the sheer size of the production.
  • There is one shot in YOLT wich I simply love, When Bond runs across the roof fighting of Osato´s men! It just look´s so cool. But apart from that I don´t think YOLT is as good as TB in any way... The girls are, as you said, much better in TB and I don´t know about you but Helga feels like a Fiona knock-off straight off...

I like her a lot, but you're right IMO.

How do you feel about DAF comparing to TB and YOLT?

Well, DAF is a very different kind of movie. It's more like a Flint film. Fun, but no real suspense.
  • Fun?! I would say it´s one of the most boring films ever made! :-q Connery look´s so old!

DAF was my first Bond movie, so I guess I cut it more slack than most. Compared to TB though, it does suck.
  • Domino is by far better than both Tiffany and Kissy. She stunning and har a very interesting story. She´s top 3 material... ;)

In terms of pure sex appeal, Domino is #1 IMO. ^:)^
  • Though Solitaire could give her a good run for her money as well, would´nt you say??

I personally think Jane Seymour is amazing, and Michelle Yeoh is fantastic. Claudine Auger rounds out my personal top 3.
  • I´ve never really like Yeoh that much... I can´t really see the big fuzz about her...

Yeah, she doesn't even have a little red book...

He does somehow age a decade between YOLT and DAF, and then he somehow reverses the process between DAF and NSNA.

Just finished Thunderball once more. And it once more confirms why it's my favourite Connery Bond.

I agree. He looks way to old. Though I have to say that I don´t think the movie would have turned out so much better with another, younger actor... The Movie is just soo boring and unexiting.
