    @DarthDimi, very well said, and I most certainly agree. I thought Haley was overly creepy and scary in the role, and thought the remake was quite good.

    Screw the 'Batman v Superman' news, this has me very excited: The two-film 'IT' adaptation has moved to New Line, so it appears that work might start on it sooner than expected (with Fukunaga still directing, perhaps?) and will more than likely be R-rated. I'm so excited:

    Looking forward to this. I loved the 1990 film- great childhood memories there. It'll be interesting to see how scary they make Pennywise this time around. Beep beep, Georgie! :O)

    It better be a hard R! I want to be scared out of my wits like I was as a kid in 1990. By now, I have seen quite a few of these King adaptations and frankly I find most of them dull and silly. Only a handful has so far had any impact on me; IT is one of them. But then I was of the right age when I first saw it, meaning I was way too young as far as the rating goes. ;-)

    And since the two-film 'IT' adaptation should be even closer to the books, I really hope the scene from the book is in it where:
    The bullies are beating up on the kid, and when they throw him over the bridge, he lands and sees Pennywise waiting under the bridge for him. Gives me chills thinking about it.

    Paramount has pushed back the next 'Friday the 13th' film to Friday, November 13th, 2015:

    B-D.com hae also reported the news, but they go on to say that the film won't take the found footage angle.

    Thank you, Major. I really hope it doesn't take the found footage angle. Hell, as much as I would love to see the next film take place in a winter environment, I'm alright with another film that's exactly like the reboot. Like I've said before, give me Jason slaughtering and stalking teens for 90 - 120 minutes and I'll be a happy guy.

    I absolutely loved the book, "IT" and I enjoyed "The Stand". I never saw the 1990 mini series on "IT" but I did watch the 1994 miniseries of "The Stand". I thought that was bloody good and well done. Perhaps Molly Ringwald was miscast but the rest of the characters were well done. Especially Laura San Giacomo.

    I never wanted to watch "It" and who knows how the remake will turn out. As for "The Stand" I don't know why they want to redo that one. The 1994 series was quite good.

    If it were up to me, the next film would be set in the winter time (just think off all the toys Jason would get to play with; ice picks, snowplows etc... not to mention killing passersby while hiding in the snow), but it would follow on 6 years after the reboot.

    This reboot better work, or it's going to look silly having to reboot it again.

    Yep, I don't want a reboot every five to seven years. Give me something constant. It seems like the world's all about reboots and remakes now, but they can't keep them going with sequels, it's annoying. Some of the most popular horror franchises in the 80's managed many, many sequels, yet all we're awarded these days are reboots. If a franchise is rebooted and it does well enough to warrant a sequel, just greenlight a sequel and get to work on it ASAP.

    I'm getting vague shades of 'I Spit On Your Grave'. Breslin, I believe, is growing into a promising actress, so count me in. I don't like the poster, though, they should have gone with the image of Breslin with the axe.

    Here's a trailer for upcoming claustrophobic horror film 'Beneath':



    After watching the trailer, it looks a lot like 'The Descent,' just with some spiced up environments and increased tension. You can count me in on seeing this, though I would watch about 65-70% of the trailer and stop, as the quick shots at the end gave away a death or two for me.

    @MajorDSmythe, the editing and music for the 'Final Girl' trailer seems poorly done, but I think with the final film, there could be something good there. Thanks for posting that, I'd like to see it when it comes out.

    I didn't have any problems with the editing or the soundtrack. But I am unsure about the choice of Sheilds as the director. I've seen some of his work, and it often looks like he goes out of his way to get a reaction. I'll still see the film, though.

    The music in the trailer for 'Final Girl' just seemed very, very cheesy and low grade. It was a bit off-putting, and I agree, I don't like the poster at all. Having said that, the film still looks entertaining, I'll most certainly be seeing it.

    My confidence in Leprechaun is severely shaken since I saw some of the crap they put out after number 3. Granted, Leprechaun was never about high quality but still, those first couple of films were kinda fun. (I also admit to liking one of the In Da Hood films but I'm not proud of it. ;-))

    I never even bothered with the 'In Da Hood' films. They looked sooooo terrible. I didn't think I could stomach even a second of any of them.

    The Kickstarter-funded, 100%-practical-effects horror film 'Harbinger Down' has released its first trailer. Definitely looks low budget and exactly like 'The Thing,' but I love that they wanted to do something with pure practical effects, and the last few shots look awesome enough to see the film when it's released.

    Perhaps a wise choice, but I never got further than Leprechaun 4: In Space. Beyond them being horror films, i'm not a fan of the series.

    ...wat. Do you mean in general, or in the first 'Leprechaun'?

    Also, did either of you watch the 'Leprechaun: Origins' trailer and notice the little guy with the shotgun in the field in the beginning of it? Is THAT supposed to be the new Leprechaun? If I watched it with no clue what to expect from that trailer, I would assume it was a big monster movie.

    That's what I'm wondering, it's a tiny, bearded man with a shotgun, but it doesn't show anything else of whoever it is throughout the entire trailer. I was wondering if that's the only tease of what the Leprechaun looks like now.
