I just want a good horror movie, they're too generic and similar these days. I don't care if it's a one-off or the fifteenth installment in a series.
EDIT: Someone was kind enough to record that theaters-only clip from 'IT.' Skarsgaard looks incredible in the role:
There's something so 'alien' about the performance, I love it. The way his voice changes so frequently, the way he salivates, or especially the shot where he seems to snap and stares hungrily at Georgie for a few moments. So excited for this movie.

Also, a new poster for 'IT':

I am lost for words, they kept this film under wraps. I am only now aware of a new Hatchet. I enjoy the films, even if #3 feels bloated and a little "been there, done that". If nothing else, the Hatchet films prove that Kane Hodder could still be Jason in a film, even though it has been 16 years since Jason X.
Even at 62, Kane Hodder still has that ferocity.
Also, get an early listen at two tracks from the 'IT' soundtrack:

Oddly enough, the first one they posted has a few moments that sound like a much more chilling version of the 'Whispering Statues' track from GE.
Even with the inclusion of Tiffany, is looks like it has still managed to continue the tonal reboot of the Curse Of Chucky. The reviewer also says what I have been thinking for a while, how come the 3 biggest horror series are struggling to get new films out, while Chucky is like the little engine that could. The series might go into hibernation for a few years, but it just comes back again, with a new style.

Is this becoming a trend? Adam Green filmed the new Hatchet in secret, only revealing that he had been making it, when the trailer was released. Paramount, if you want to admit to secretly filming a new Friday The 13th film, now would be a good time to say so...
It very well may be, at least for lower-budget horror films. I'm still hoping we get a new 'Friday the 13th' one day, some day...
New Line get the rights back next year. I would like to think that some exec at New Line, will have picked up on the disappointment from fans of the aborted 2017 film, and will waste no time in getting a new film through production. It really shouldn't be this hard to made a new Friday The 13th.
I know what you mean. I did like the water slide kill. Though every male viewer would have shifted in their seat at that moment. I would like to see a modern day winter setting (if possible make it a new sequel in the original timeline, somehow side-stepping Jason X), and the usual characters.
I would also like to see Kane Hodder back for one last film. I was starting to suspect that Kane had been brought back for the 2017 film. Back on New Years Day, Kane released a video, wishing his fans a happy new year, wherein he mentioned a couple of surprises that he had in store for 2017, but couldn't speak about them at the time. One look at the Hatchet films, and the mo-cap from the game, show that even at 62, Kane could still put on the hockey mask.
On top of different types of tension. Imagine someone fleeing him in the woods alone, only to realize they're leaving tracks in the snow for him to easily follow. Or attempting to somehow hide amongst the snow while he's chasing one of the victims.
EDIT: This 'Leatherface' review is quite glowing. The trailer intrigued me enough to give this a go come October.

Mirrors my thoughts 100%. I'll see it at some point, I figure. Trailer felt light on scares, hopefully they're getting smart and not spoiling the big ones in the trailer(s).
EDIT: It's FINALLY confirmed!

And was it good or bad? The trailer was quite surprising to me, didn't expect it to look as well done and entertaining as it did.
Extremely gory. I wanted to throw up.
I don't know if you want to be spoiled or not but basically the main plot is there's three kids and one of them is leatherface. They kill the sheriff's daughter and they get sent to a mental hospital and their names are changed. They grow up and escape. His mom comes looking for him , but they don't know which one is which, meanwhile the police are after the kids. That's basically all in the trailer but that's the main plot. Felt kinda bland honestly.
IT has earned $49.6m at the US box office on Friday, so all points to a $100m+ opening weekend for this latest Stephen King adaptation.
