    That link is 2 months old. I have not been following the reboot/remake all that closely, but I believe B-D.com reported that filming had wrapped on it a while back.

    Has anyone seen Alexandr Sokurovs "Faust"? It screens tonight and am interested at going, but I dont know how to sell it to my mates so I dont have to go alone :P

    In fact, I dont even know if this is the right thread for it haha, I hope it is... the story certanly seems like it.

    Leatherface vs Jason vs Freddy vs Myers vs Ghostface. Who wins? (hint, the correct answer is Freddy)

    Not sure if this has been posted, but Leprechaun origins is coming out in march 2013, Warrick Davies isn't playing the Leprechaun. Apparently it's being made by WWE (yeah, the wrestling company, I was suprised too), and a wreslter is replacing Davies.

    Leprechaun in space is where I drew the line and I thought a reboot was a good idea, but Davies was brilliant as the Leprechaun and I'm sad he won't be in it.

    Depends which Jason. If it's Kirzinger (I always get a kick out of that moment in Jason Takes Manhattan), then he'd get his ass whupped by the other 4. If it's Hodder or Mears, Jason wins.

    And you can't make a Leprechaun film without Davies. Made with WWE? Let me gues, John Cena as The Leprechaun. ;)

    @MajorDSmythe I think Hodder is definetly the best Jason but Freddy (the Robert Englund Freddy) still wins it for me. If it's Freddy from the reboot though, then I'll give it to Jason.

    I'm glad you agree on the new Leprechaun film. Replacing Davies will be just as big a disaster as replacing Englund was for the Nightmare On Elm Street reboot. I'll probably see it anyway but my expectations are really low. I'm suprised it's not straight to DVD.

    I haven't been following the new TCM film. I find it wierd how they decided to just forget about every film except the first one, but it could be a good idea. I'm glad it's not a remake. What I'm not keen on is that it's 3D, Texas Chainsaw Massacre IMAX has a much better ring to it ;)

    I read the details of the script for TC, and it just sounds like garbage. I stopped caring for the series a long while ago, and the ending, along with the rest of the script, don't interest me in the slightest. If anybody cares to know how the new TCM will begin and end:
    It apparently involves a big mob shootout, with a group of people attacking the Sawyer house after Biel's character escaped in the first remake. The house is burned down, everyone dies, yet Leatherface makes it out of there and retreats to a different house with new family members. The film ends with everyone dead, excluding Leatherface and the main character. She finds out that she is Leatherface's sister, or something to that effect, and I think she teams up with him.

    Freddy wins, no doubt there. He has one advantage: the dream world. Even Jason can't compete there. ;-)

    If I were to cancel out Freddy, and we omit the possibility that one of these fellas opens up the Lament configuration, then Ghost Face is the first one to die. Leatherface's brutality is an advantage but he's fairly clumsy, his motivation lacks the drive of Michael's and Jason's and his talent for working out killer strategies is underdeveloped. Sally Hardesty would never have outrun either Jason or Michael and even if she had, they would have pursued her to the farthest ends of the Earth. That leaves Jason and Michael. On sheer muscularity, the Hodder and Mears Jason can beat Michael, though it would be a crazy fight as both have the tendency to never keep down permanently.

    I'm really looking forward to the new TCM film. Looks pretty good, and I like the idea of ignoring all the sequels but not totally remaking/rebooting it.

    I must confess to having a soft spot for Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3. I think it's the best of the sequels and an ok horror film in it's own way. It's never going to appear on any of my favourite horror films list, but it is still not a film I can sat that I hated.
    And Like you, I also like how this is a direct sequel to the original, but set in 2012.

    I like how different it looks. I suppose it's because we have all brand new characters, a slightly different looking Leatherface, and not the exact same setting that it looks different, but my interest definitely jumped by seeing this. It's a shame the script was so poor, apparently, and the ending is very mundane.

    @OddJaws, wow, wow, wow. That is amazing. I just got 'Silence of the Lambs' on blu-ray a few months ago, and have been aching to see it again ever since. This might be my heads up, I think. Excellent tattoo.

    Thanks a million matey. I also have, from the elbow up on that arm, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Ghostface(Scream) and Leatherface. The plan is to finish the full sleeve with Jack from the Shining and Kathy Bates from Misery.. It's all about the money.. :(

    I am so seeing this film! However, I'm slightly concerned. I'm not seeing much about the family (although fortunately imdb and wiki mention several Sawyers so that's probably al right. Gimme T&A, gimme chainsaws, gimme Leatherface and my girl next to me squeezing the blood out of my right arm and I'm in horror fan heaven!

    Hey thanks for all the comments guys. Feel like a bit of a celeb here!! Only kidding. I'll try post pics of the rest of it soon, and I'm all about the old school. I'll post pictures of my horror section in my movie room later.. I think you'll like it. A lot. ;)

    Old school is definetly best. Hell, most of the horror films put out today are just remakes/reboots trying to cash in on the old school stuff.

    Saying that though, there are some really cool, original horror films put out in this day and age, like Outpost.

    Agreed. The original horrors coming out today are having to work so hard to match up to what has come before, so you do find the occasional gem like Outpost. My favorite top ten would look a bit like this..

    There's a lot that has been said about the poor state of modern horror, but the 2000's were my favourite decade. My favourites being:

    May (of course)
    Outpost
    The House Of The Devil
    Friday The 13th
    The Toolbox Murders
    The Woods
    Triangle
    The Descent
    30 Days Of Night
    Ginger Snaps
    Dog Soldiers

    I'm not a fan of Tatts, but that Lector one is mighty impressive. Welcome to MI6 Community @OddJaws, it's always nice to see another horror fan on the forum.

    My all time favourite is the original Nightmare On Elm street.

    I'm a big slasher fan. Not sure about my all time top 10 horror films but a few Friday The 13th films, The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream and Bride Of Chucky would definetly be up there.
