The film centers on a sheriff who gets called to an orchard where three teenage sisters have been attacked by a band of young delinquents. Arriving on the scene, the lawman soon realizes a malevolent force lurks within the grounds that will drag everyone into a fight for their lives.

Looks good this. Seems just my kind of killer animal film!
But then The Shallows looked really good and turned out to be drek.

This i'm looking forward to. Has a real 'Wicker Man' feel to it.
Loved his previous film, Hereditary.

Guillermo Del Toro's Nightmare Alley with Leonardo Dicaprio will start production in September.

Aren't they making a sequel set in the original series timeline as well? My memory may be off on that but I recall people saying it was very strange to both continue the original series and push on with a reboot simultaneously.
Well this is what I don't understand, Mancini is also the creator of the tv series. I haven't seen any mention of a new film in the original series, not lately.

If it's as good as I'm hoping it's going to be then I don't mind the long runtime.
His brilliant Hereditary was quite long as I recall.
IMDB says 2 hours 7 minutes for that one. It's one of my favorite horror films in recent memory - I know absolutely nothing about Midsommar (the less I know going in, the better), hoping to see this opening night and be pleasantly surprised.
Also, seems the first trailer for Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell will drop in five days:
