  I knew virtually nothing of this so I didn't have any sense of optimism or hopes either way, but I gotta say that actually looks pretty damn good, for the most part. Could be fun.

  I just can't wait for THE COLOR OUT OF SPACE. I'm not sure it'll do Lovecraft fans any favours, but then again, it could be the first "prestigious" Lovecraft adaptation.

  Just marathoned the Scream films, which I mostly love. Hate to hear that Williamson isn’t writing the next Scream. We all know how well that turned out the last time (*coughs* Scream 3). I get the feeling it will probably be a reboot, which would be a pity because the original lineup is far too good to be topped.

  I actually wouldn't mind a reboot, as long as it was done well. I don't want to a millennial, hyper-American version that the TV series was. Give us something high-brow with the Scream franchise.

  Took me a minute to see the face in the island. I love a good murder mystery so we'll see how this pans out.

  Sadly, Doctor Sleep is underperforming massively at US box office, with an opening weekend looking to be half of its lowest estimations, while Roland Emmerich's WW2 film Midway is about to double its most optimistic estimations.

  True, @DaltonCraig007, but it's not the type of film that would be getting a sequel so I suppose it doesn't matter too much - countless other Stephen King adaptations are still going forward, but it is upsetting to see a great film underperforming (and coming in second to a CGI-laden WWII movie, but that does seem to be the state of cinema anymore).

  Seems to be the Blade Runner 2049 of this year. Very well-made sequel that exceeds expectations (getting praise from critics and movie goers) but underperforms at the box office.

  My thoughts about everything concerning the film. Looked like a disaster from the start.
  
  I must say though overall 2019 was a very strong year for horror. Us, Pet Sematary, Doctor Sleep, Midsommar, The Lighthouse, and It Chapter Two were all super enjoyable for me.

  Just leave it be. The series wants to die, let it die. I'd accept a sequel to 1 and 3, but otherwise, stick a fork in it, it's done.

  If that’s a good match I don’t know what it is. The Evil Dead remake was actually really underrated imo, although is actually considered one of the best horror remakes. So this is exciting news to me :)
