To sort of bring an opposite discussion to the Most Hated Bond endings thread, What are your most loved Bond endings?
My top 5 are.
1. Casino Royale: While the falling house in Venice climax was a bit over the top, Casino Royale had a perfect Bond ending. Bond catching a potential villain with his pants between his legs where the Bond theme is so well placed it brings a tear to one's eye. The Name's Bond....James Bond.. *cue end credits*
2. Doctor No: The perfect way to end rather magnetic first adventure. Float away in a boat with a beautiful Blond at your side with a peaceful instrumental version of Underneath the Mango tree plays softly.
3. GoldenEye: Oddly enough the ending reminds me of the endings to Vietnam War era movies. Our hero, slightly bloody flies away into the sunset (kind of) With his love interest. Sure a replay of Tina Turner's GoldenEye theme over the credits would have been nice. Eric Serra's The Experience of Love has grown on me. I think it was a nice way to end a Perfect Bond adventure.
4. On Her Majesty's Secret Service: One of the greatest Bond movies ever made. Ended on a sad note. We got to know Tracy from her suicidal beginnings to a fully fleshed out Bond girl with a future sadly taken from the world with bullets. I wish we got to know Tracy a little more but it's still one of the best films with a tragic ending.
5. Moonraker: It's cheesy, over the top and outright vulgar. But I love it. Moore's smile at the audience as he turns the camera off is great as John Barry's sweeping score kicks in one last time before we get the disco Moonraker theme to play in full swing. To be honest I feel like if Moonraker was Moore's last Bond movie, it would be almost depressing as I think it's a good movie. (Not good Bond movie mind you.) But good in it's own right.

Save your legal troubles here @chrisisall. I'm not going to sue you. :)) All good choices you have. I happen to agree with all of them. :)
DN originated the standard Bond ending, OHMSS was brilliant but terribly depressing, TSWLM was the perfect ending to the best OTT Bond movie, TLD was simply charming, and Skyfall brought it all back home again.
OHMSS made me tear up too much though... (:|
It's objectively the best, but it's tough for me to watch OHMSS, since I spend the whole movie dreading the end. Vesper's death is also very sad, but OHMSS's sudden turn for the worst is better (or worse).
On Her Majestys Secret Service, For Your Eyes Only, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale

SF (Perhaps in time this one won't remain a favorite. It was great to see the old office again.)
LALD
TSWLM
AVTAK (very controversial, I know. However cringeworthy it might be with a 57 year old man and a woman old enough to be his daughter enjoying a shower together, there's something rather sad about it, that after nearly 13 years as Bond, this is his very last scene. I don't think it worked as much with Sean as it seemed anticlimactic as we thought YOLTs ending would be his last scene....)
LTK
QoS
SF
1. OHMSS
2. TLD
3. Dr No and Goldfinger (both iconic)
4. FYEO (yes, I think the Thatcher bit is good fun)
5. Skyfall
I also think that LTK is a good one as Bond is laughing (you don't see that too often) and NSNA is underrated with some great dialogue.
And OP would be a better bow out for Moore than AVTAK was.
Oh, and CR is really great of course
CR is probably the best.

Is it just me that doesn't particularly like any of the Connery era endings? They're not bad, but I don't find any of them really good either. Nothing interesting about them imo.
Yes I'd go along with those but I do really like DN's ending too. It's a shame that it was emulated over and over again.
Yes, as good as many of them were on their own, they were just endless variations of the original. The Craig era has been very good in that regard. I would not mind him with the girl in or near water in a later film. It would be new in this era and a nice homage, but once will do.
1. Skyfall
2. Quantum of Solace
3. Dr. No
I think the GF ending has been the one that got emulated ad nauseam. Although yes it is in itself a variation of DN.
I love Bond and Tiffany's brief dining scene, Wint's line, "But then there would be no surpreeze!," the flaming kebabs (although Tiffany's "Eeeeek!" is a bit silly), and the way Bond dispatches Wint (one of the most hilarious moments in all of Bond), but Bond and Tiffany's concluding dialogue is only so-so, IMO.
QOS. Real end (I Never Left)
Goldeneye
LTK real end (2 Bond girls) & Octopussy
I like Dr No & FRWL real end not his sub end. With real end in this case i mean Bond and the Bond girl in the boat.
Skyfall (Exept the Ice, M death)
TMWTGG TSWLM, FYEO and AVTAK based on your mood it can be a bit to much. But wil not say there are bad. Not realy a big fan of Yolt, DAF and subs ends of Dr no, LALD (Train) & LTK.
Well said. There's something about movies ending quietly in a snowy setting that I always loved, atleast from a visual standpoint. Same goes for Batman Returns. There's just something so melancholic about QOS's ending. And then BAM the gunbarrel hits and I want to stand up and cheer.
It's almost unfair for Craig as opposed to the others. If I have the rank the top 5 Bond endings, all of Craig's films are on the list without question.
