Something that I decided to do for fun may bring up some interesting discussion.
In the list below is the age of the actor playing Bond in each film, along with the age of the lead female (Bond girl) and the difference between them. They bring some results that many may not have expected.

Who would have thought Tatiana Romanova was the youngest girl in the films, or that the largest gap is between Bond and Melina - a staggering 30 years?! Yet that was far more believable to me than what we got in A View To A Kill.

Total age of the people in the picture... 333 years @-)
But hey, 'Moore' power to him!
Britt Eklund certainly seemed a lot younger than 32. But then Melina seemed a lot more mature than her age. While Moore on the other hand, up through FYEO could still pass for about 40. So as long as the actors "look" the part and act it well, then it works. Think of all the teenage high school tv shows, where all the actors are in their late 20's....
The point at which 007 is comfortably old enough to be a Bond Girl's Dad is when it gets creepy!!
Moore and Adams were 17.5 years apart in age.
Now if only I could fix the formatting...
Not sure who the SF leading lady is, but Naomi Harris is 35 (8 years) and Berenice Marlohe is 32 (11 years).
This should narrow the age difference gap a bit.
As I have suspected for quite some time, Moore and Carol Bouquet present the biggest cringe gap. 53 vs 23. No wonder the filmmakers toned down any implied shagging between these two. Smart move.
Oldest Bond-girl is Honor Blackman at 39. Maud Adams runner-up at 38.
Agreed, and honestly Bouquet didn't LOOK that young. Maybe it's because of her height? But I'd have pinned her for at least late 20's.
Also, awesome list. I love how the two movies where Bond and the girl are closest in age have the girl older than Bond. XD
The biggest difference is 30 years between Sir Roger and Carole Bouquet, and the smallest (absolute) difference is between Lazenby and Diana Rigg. Not surprised Sir Roger has the biggest difference record, knowing he was Bond until his late 50s.
Indeed, they don't look same age. I think Bouquet looked more mature for her age.
Any length of whitespace is being is being interpreted as a single space character, that's why the formatting of your post doesn't work. Try to use dots or underscores instead of spaces, it will look much better.
That's cause nobody wanted a Bond girl in her 50's, lol
Maybe one day though-- if they found the right woman who was 'up there'-- like a Demi Moore type, you know someone who's aged really well. Could be a cool new thing to try! Something edgy and new
Christian Troy hooked up with women older than him all the time on Nip/Tuck and (most of the time) is was still pretty hot
*edit- hell they could even bring back Famke Janssen in a different role-- she's pushing 50 and still looks like she did in GoldenEye!!
No arguments there.
That was definitely the reason for why they brought back Maud Adams, to "narrow" the age gap by a little bit. Mind you, some women are quite old and still look pretty sexy as well, so I don't mind one bit if they decide to cast older women in the future.
