I think the Bond girl moments for Craig in CR was a deliberate answer from the filmakers to the controversy of Craigs casting. Many were saying that Craig did not look the part, that he was '' too ugly ''.So they went all out in the film by having these scenes that basically screamed '' Look! Daniel Craig is not ugly! he is really attractive to women! We have tennis girls checking him out! (etc)

That's how I saw it too, especially since Craig seems not at ease at all at the tennisgirls scene. There is nothing relaxed in the way he returns their gaze. Actually he doesn't seem relaxed in any of the scenes in which he has to interact with an attractive woman.

Kind of remind me of Never Say Never Again where every single female extra lusted after Sean Connery.....

Aye.Craigs Bond looks more comfortable beating people up.Hes convincing as an action man but its hard to take him seriously as a babe magnet.

I certainly wouldn't kick him out of bed.

I think as a general rule, the Bond girl should show more skin, and have greater skin air time than Bond should, and in CR, Daniel shows tons of skin for quite a bit of time on different occasions, while Vesper shows hardly any skin for hardly any time. I would say that Bond is a bigger piece of eye-candy than both Bond girls in CR combined.

Yes, though as discussed above that might have been the point of the thing, though - James Bond reborn in a reboot.
