Wouldn't you also have to include THUNDERBALL, NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN and TOMORROW NEVER DIES (or was that her hotel room)?

Well never thought about it this way. Here you found another coincidence but i meant the very clear reference of the naked woman in Bond's bed bieng killed Ms Fields from Quantum covered in Oil and Jill from Goldfinger covered in Gold.

I don't know if this has been said before but both in GF and OP the main female character has the word 'pussy' in her name.
  • LTK and SP - the exact same elevator.
  • ThunderballThunderball playing Chemin de Fer in a casino, downing Vespers

DN and CR - gunbarrel leading into credit sequence.

OHMSS and AVTAK Both the OHMSS theme and the AVTAK action music (He's Dangerous, Snow Job ect.) Use a decending 4 note motif as it's bass melody.

Probably mentioned before, but FYEO-DAD: The theme singer can be seen in the film.

Here's one I don't think was put here:

OHMSS and TMWTGG : Songs are sung by Eurovision Song Contest winners (Isabelle Aubret for the first one, Lulu for the second one).

And while we're at it : references to the Beatles in both GF and QOS.
  • I believe OHMSS takes the record for most references by future Bond films, but then again, if every "Bond, James Bond" is a reference to DN, then DN takes the trophy.

TSWLM and QoS both have Bond casually but coldly pushing a no-name henchman off a tall building to their death.

Pussy is also the name of Stacey's cat, as shown on the cat bowl at the end while they are in the shower (Geddit 8-| )

And in SF, although more subtly.
  • OP and SP - Bond makes a Disney reference. (Tarzan and Mickey Mouse).

I wouldn't count that, as OP was made 16 years before Disney's TARZAN. Making it impossible to have referenced it by definition.

Whoops. I think I just revealed my ignorance, and my age for that matter...

MR and FYEO : MI agents are disguised as men of the cloth (monks in MR, orthodox priest in FYEO)

CR 67 and TMWTGG : the name "James Bond" is part of the lyrics in the final song.

CR 67 and NSNA : Herb Alpert plays the trumpet in both main themes.
  • TSWLM and MR: pretty much the same structure of the PTS.

    -villain's plot
    -M asking Moneypenny "where's Bond?"
-transitional pun (pull out, last leg)
    -action sequence with Bond
-ending aerial stunt (MR just has a very long aerial stunt)

They have the same structure for practically everything that follows too. :))

Nene Valley Railway line in Peterborough. Used in both OP & GE (with the former filming at the Wansford Station). As I mentioned on another thread, I could tell the similarity immediately when I saw GE for the first time in the theatre.

GF and TND both have scenes at Stoke Park.

Had this been brought up already?

Also an odd coincidence that Stoke Park is featured so prominently in Layer Cake, the film that convinced Babs and Michael that DC was right for Bond.

TB and AVTAK have scenes in Paris.

Well yes, the villain's plot and a lot of other stuff are very similar. The PTS of MR follows TSWLM to a tee though.

Good point. Are your sure he went to the Asian side of Istanbul in FRWL?

YOLT-LTK: Bond is never in Europe.
