I'd like to add Broadstairs, the seaside town where I grew up - as picturesque a place as you will find on the South coast....

I'm in Swansea at the moment. I'm English but my wife is from here and we ended up moving down here from London after I left the army. It's nice, I miss England sometimes but I like it here. I'd say it's worth visiting.

Blackpool is a fun place to visit. Went on holiday there a few times when I was a kid, loved going the beach. There's also Pleasure Beach (the big theme park) and the nightlife is great, it's a good place to have a night out. There's also brilliant casino there that I went to once but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, I'll try to find out. So if you want a fun day out by the sea or if you want a good night out on the lash then Blackpool is a great place to go.

And of course there's London. The Dolphin is a pub on mare street in Hackney that I used to love back when I lived in London. Great place to go once you've had a few on a night out. Another good London pub is the Boleyn. The name speaks for itself really, it's a West Ham pub (very close to the ground) and it's great going there on match day, brilliant atmosphere. Or if you're not a West Ham fan but do like football there's the champions statue nearby which you could go and have a look at. And then you have the big tourist attractions like the London eye, the London dugeons, etc.

Liverpool is a must if you're a Beatles fan. There's the Beatles exhibition and then there's Mathew Street where you have the cavern club, the Lennon statue, etc. Just have a wander round there and enjoy. I also ate at Jamie Carraghers restaurant last time I was there and it was quite nice but apparently they went bust in 2013.

I lived in Liverpool for a year. Lovely city, but what I remember more fondly of it is not the Beatles heritage, which is sometimes a bit heavy, but the Irish one. They celebrate St Patrick's Day for real there.
  • Bath is a fantastic place. Beautiful place, nice people, easy women and you must visit Sally's Lunn for a quality eat. The pre-theatre menu is fab, the easy women love it and you won't being going to the theatre I can tell you. b-( :x
