It is...and if you are an 'original from that time, you can see the comparison,Dragon..

Sadly I wasn't. I was Silhouette Man on CBn back in those days.

Well you are a big player, and an asset to the site here now...

Well, thank you very much, Barry. I'm humbled to hear it and would of course say the same about yourself.

@barryt007 For nostalgic purposes, the "Wayback Machine" is a must:

Tom Ford? Come on, man! It's obviously Anthony Sinclair.

Would it be possible to make the blue boxes around the "quote" button and around quoted text a little lighter in colour? I find them distracting from the actual posts.

Agreed. A much lighter shade than that of the quoted text would really help matters. :)

I think the design would largely be faultless if the "Quote" box was simply returned to the top of the user post right to the left of the "Edit" button as it was pre-update, out of sight but still easy to find.

Agreed. the black text on the darker blue background will also likely cause some eye strain to viewers, as the black tends to get lost (to an extent) in the darker shade of blue.

I wonder if it would look better if the white and black were switched in the quote boxes, where the username of the poster is in black and the text they quote is in white?

Brings to mind The Amityville Horror (1979) too though there it was 3:15.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 What do you think? I couldn't do anything about the username color with BBCode, though.

Dark blue isn't bad. Plus it looks good on mobile where the quote boxes are gray.

@BMW_with_missiles, thanks for testing. Turns out black looks the best, at least to me. And by best, I mean easiest on the eyes. I'd keep the username of the poster in the quote box all black in color and bolded instead of white too, as I think that would also be much easier on the eyes.
