Cruise has BMW all locked up for the MI series, and has used them beautifully in the last two releases.

(ahem) JAMES BOND NEVER USED A DB 9 !!!!!
Sorry.
But indeed. This story has some glaring mistakes in it.
Still, I think it's unfair to designate them by the underpinnings. A lot of film-cars are something else entirely and they never get called whatever is underneath.
Imran, I do believe that DBS is from QOS? As their are bullet holes on the windscreen?
You're right.. My bad. Posted out of excitement and overlooked that its the DBS from QoS. The license plate is a giveaway as well. Will repost with the correct car.
"Used 2008 Aston Martin DBS. Low miles. Minor scratches. Looks and drives great!"
I'd still drive the hell out of that car. Whenever I went somewhere with valet service I'd have to be sure to say, "Careful not to scratch it."
And no, not an Ibiza, but an Alfa could do. The Giulia is 'normal' enough, and as I understand it the ultimaete driver's car. Something that is very much part of Bond.
No. No. NO. You don't get me. What I mean is Bond being seriously tested with his driving skills. Like Steve McQueen did in "Bullitt". But then with a tiny emergency, escape vehicle and not with the constant luxury of an Aston Martin. A Seat Ibiza would be perfect like that. And let's not forget, Jason Bourne once drove a Mini Cooper.
Fact is: The Aston Martin has been done to death since Mr -Pastiche- Brosnan became Bond. Stop it! So dear Purvis & Wade? You don't have the right to moan about the loss of creativity.
All in all, he could still drive an Aston company car, and have a chase in another type.
Just not every Bond film! Try do something different for a new Bond film.
Quite agree.
Certainly. Really keen to see a unique non-Aston car chase.

I don't think it does Aston any favours to be in every film frankly. I'm slightly sick of them. Especially when you get the DB5 shoehorned in as well.
I suppose it's better than a BMW...

I also got yesterday autoart Scale1:18 Aston Martin Rapide S. hopefully the DB11 diecast/.
The DB 11 is quite nice. It's grown on me.

I don't see how AM can stay independent though. I can't see it having a long term future outside of a major auto manufacturer.
A rare Aston Martin car has sold at auction in Dorset for £754,000.
The convertible DB6 Vantage Volante was previously owned by the wife of media entrepreneur Sidney Bernstein.
Dukes Auctioneers said Sandra Bernstein who bought the car in 1968 "cherished it for the rest of her life before passing the car to her son".
It described the dark blue car, which has only covered 38,833 miles, and is one of just 29 produced as "in our view, the ultimate".
The Dorchester auction house said the car "one of the rarest post-war Aston Martins" was "so special due to its single family ownership and its remarkable originality."
