Both films seem great. Chastain has me much more than Adams, but as @bondjames says, Gyllenhall and Shannon are in it.

Just saw it now. Looks interesting. Tge cast is great but need to see a bit more to get a proper feel.

Aaron Taylor Johnson looks like he'll showcase a good performance; which is about time as I think bee's a good actor. But with tge right material and director.

Looks like a good movie. I stopped watching the trailer 90 seconds in. This is a 3 minute trialer? Wow...60 seconds would've sold me on it, 3 minutes basically spoils the entire movie..

It's sort of hard to spoil something that already happened, though.

First footage of Woody Harrelson in 'LBJ':

Looks like Woody Harrelson with too much rubber on his face.

Wow. He's barely recognizable in that clip. This should be a benchmark performance for him. I'll definitely be watching this.

LBJ is the only US president whose biography I have read.

(Loved Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter though.)

In one moment, he looks almost exactly like LBJ, but then in the next he just looks like an actor in makeup. Hopefully it doesn't take away from the overall film too much for me.

Not the best choice for the lead role, is he?

Well, at least there's less than 1 year now until Woody Harrelson will be seen in 'War of the Planet of the Apes'.

I look forward to that. The new Apes films are so much better than the old ones.

After 'Beasts of No Nation', another classic Netflix produced war film?

    This looks impressive!

I am really pleased that this got made. It's a very Hollywood-ised version, but nevertheless it's a forgotten piece of world history and for nearly four decades it was taboo to talk about that battle in Ireland. The soldiers were treated horrifically when they returned.

    That LBJ scene was very...different.

I'd have preferred a more dramatic moment, as that's where the performance will find it's home. He'll be an interesting president to be explore on screen. Statistics rate him as one of the least successful commanders in chief of all time and a bully, but others see him as a hero of the Vietnam era that did what had to be done to find that dreaded communism.

It'll be interesting to see the approaches the filmmakers take.

Lea Seydoux, Marion Cottilard, Vincent Cassell? Even if the performances were rubbish, I'd be sold just with the cast @DaltonCraig007. It looks excellent. Intense.

Tom Cruise Chooses to Accept Mission: Impossible 6

Mission: Impossible 6 is back on track with plans to begin production this spring

Tom Cruise has chosen to accept his next Mission. According to a story today at The Hollywood Reporter, the salary dispute that put the Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media franchise sequel on hold has been resolved. Mission: Impossible 6 is now set to begin production in the spring of 2017 with Christopher McQuarrie, who previously helmed Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, once again writing and directing.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, released in 2015, also stars Jeremy Renner (Marvel’s The Avengers, Kill the Messenger), Alec Baldwin (The Departed, 30 Rock), Simon Pegg (Star Trek, The World’s End), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Dawn of the Dead), Simon McBurney (The Last King of Scotland, The Theory of Everything) and Rebecca Ferguson (Hercules, The Red Tent). It’s a safe bet that many will be returning for the latest chapter with Ferguson confirmed to reprise her role.

The Mission: Impossible franchise launched in 1966 with the original CBS television series, which ran for seven seasons and 171 episodes. Mission: Impossible returned in 1988 with a rebooted series on ABC. It failed to find an audience, however, and was cancelled after two seasons. It was nearly a decade later that the Tom Cruise led Mission: Impossible feature film would turn the small screen spy series into a hugely successful cinematic franchise.

McQuarrie’s return to the franchise marks the first time a director has helmed more than one Mission: Impossible film. Brian De Palma directed the original adaptation, which was followed by sequels directed by John Woo, J.J, Abrams and Brad Bird.

The next Mission: Impossible is without an official release date, but it could theoretically hit the big screen as early as late 2017. Check back for details as they become available.

So essentially it's a film with the biggest french actors who've crossed over to the states in popularity, acting their arses off in competition for each other? Looks interesting in its focus on intimate character drama, like something John Cassavetes would write and direct.

It's interesting who will be the main villain and/or the primary antagonist team in the upcoming Mission: Impossible. Perhaps The Syndicate isn't dead just yet?

The ONE thing I am hoping gets changed from the previous installments is that we have the team, working in unison (particularly with their boss/higher-ups) on a sanctioned mission: no more of this "rogue" nonsense that seems to taint movies today, particularly this series and James Bond. In fact, the only straight-forward mission in this series is seen in the second movie; every other time, Ethan and his team are alone and/or on the run.

Ghost Protocol kind of isn't rogue, though.

    The plot on IMDB:

"The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name."

@Creasy47 what about the other spy/action franchise, Jason Bourne? Both Matt Damon in his 4 films and Jeremy Renner in his film are rogue the entire time.

Yes, but let's not forget who reinstated their mission when they were caught. The Secretary. IMF.

@ClarkDevlin, but the main angle of the whole film is that they're rogue and don't have the proper equipment, so they're left to finish the mission with what they have; sets up all the confusion and lack of confidence for the Dubai scenes, as Benji harks on about how much easier it'd be if they could call people back at the office, had the facial mask machine that worked properly, etc.
