I thoroughly enjoyed the first film, so I am really looking forward to the sequel!
1st official still of Christian Bale in Hostiles, directed by Scott Cooper ('Crazy Heart' and 'Out of the Furnace'). Also starring Rosamund Pike, Peter Mullan, Ben Foster, Stephen Lang and Jesse Plemons.
The plot: In 1892, a legendary Army captain reluctantly agrees to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory.
EDIT: No wonder, got it mixed up with Netflix's 'Godless.'
Hostiles seems interesting. It's not quite my thing but the cast makes it worth a watch.
I can't believe someone greenlighted a sequel to Skyline. Hollywood must really be running out of ideas.
Filming for The Equalizer 2, directed by Antoine Fuqua, starring Denzel Washington, Bill Pullman, Melissa Leo and Pedro Pascal, will start in a little less than 2 weeks' time, on September 5th.
An early look at Colin Firth in the upcoming true-story film Kursk, about the 2000 K-141 Kursk submarine disaster and the governmental negligence that followed. It is directed by Thomas Vinterberg ('The Hunt' with Mads Mikkelsen), and will also feature Lea Seydoux, Matthias Schoenaerts, Max Von Sidow, August Diel and Michael Nyqvist (one of his 3 films to be released posthumously). The film will be released in 2018.
Really excited about this film, thoroughly enjoyed the first film.
Thanks to @Creasy47 for pointing it out to me: Keanu Reeves had to pull out from some random action flick because it seems John Wick 3 will start filming in early 2018. So the next Wick adventure could arrive in cinemas at any time between late 2018 to early 2019.
They must be a lot closer to production than was expected, since Reeves has been training for it for the past couple of months, and he bailed on a film he could've easily finished in time. As I mentioned to you the other day, maybe this shoot will be even more grueling and requires even more training.
Hunter Killer & Kursk look to be my kind of films. Love the sub flicks, whether it be Hunt for Red October, Crimson Tide or U-571.
Finally, here it is! 1st official still of Liam Neeson in The Commuter, the 4th collaboration in the action genre between Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra after 'Unknown', 'Non-Stop' and 'Run All Night'.
The plot: Michael Woolrich (Liam Neeson), is a businessman caught up in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home. After a mysterious phone call, he is forced to uncover the identity of a hidden passenger on his train before the last stop, or everyone onboard dies.
The film also features Vera Farmiga, Sam Neill, Patrick Wilson and Jonathan Banks. The film will be released on January 12, 2018.
