    @Dwayne, what a fantastic film, and that 4K trailer makes it look better than ever. Getting to see that in theaters would feel unreal to me.

    I was at the Film Forum on Saturday (for Gojira 1954) and had a chance to see the trailer and it looks even better on a large screen. WOW. Just WOW! Such an influential film!

    @Dwayne, I bet it was mind-melting! Crazy to me how sharp they can get these restorations without making them feel like they were filmed in the last five years too. Very impressive stuff.

    I got the nostalgia feels there especially with the song, I remember first renting the first film on VHS when released. I wonder if Geena and Alec have cameos, probably unlikely.

    Yeh, saw 'Beetlejuice' in the cinema at the time and greatly enjoyed it. This could be Burtons saving grace, he hasn't done anything interesting for a long while for me! I loved the animated series too! Interesting note about the film, it was originally to be directed by Frank Oz, of 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' fame!

    Mixed opinions. If Dennis Dugan comes back to direct, I'd be nervous. Both in terms of quality, and his creepy behavior around kids.

    I personally am cautiously optimistic about Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. It’s been a long time since Burton consistently made good films, but his legacy content still makes him one of my personal favorite directors. Hope he exceeds all expectations and has a comeback with this one - I adore the original.

    I doubt he comes back. But watching Sandler and McDonald come back for a PGA Senior Tour plot would be gold

    2 stands above 1 and 3 for me but I find something to love in all of them. Even if this one is just "good," I'll consider it a success. The trailer looks fairly fun.

    Fury Road trailers actually had some fun with music that didn't place in the film. Using Cat Stevens' "Wild World" (and lyrics "ooh baby it's a wild world...and I remember you like a child, girl").

    Leveraging ignition/chamberedround/other mechanics as percussion. Giuseppe Verdi 's Movement 2a, Sequenz: Dies Irae. Plus a Radiohead cover that did. And what was that music box melody?

    I'm standing by for at least some of that.

    I had no clue there was one. I see it's got a 3.9/10 rating on IMDB; that explains why.

    Night is the Hunter is incredibly atmospheric, beautifully photographed and features an incredible performance by Robert Mitchum; I’ve watched it several times but it’s been a while since my last viewing. But for all of its incredible qualities, each time that I’ve watched it I’ve felt that something more could be done with the story. I’ll have to watch again to recall why I feel this way.

    With that said, this would be a great, against type role for Hugh Jackman

    Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have set an August 1st 2025 release date for the sequel to their 2022 animated hit “The Bad Guys” based on Aaron Blabey’s popular book series.

    The sequel’s story follows the criminal crew of animal outlaws who struggling to find trust and acceptance in their newly minted lives as Good Guys.

    However, they’re pulled out of retirement and forced to do ‘one last job’ by an all-female squad of criminals. Universal previously had the date reserved for an untitled DreamWorks Animation title.

    The entire cast from the $250 million grossing original is returning for the sequel including Sam Rockwell as dashing reformed pickpocket Mr. Wolf; Marc Maron as safe-cracker Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as master-of-disguise Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as short-fused Mr. Piranha and Awkwafina as expert hacker Ms. Tarantula.

    Also back are Zazie Beetz as Diana Foxington, Richard Ayoade as Professor Marmalade, Alex Borstein as police chief Misty Luggins and Lilly Singh as Tiffany Fluffit.

    Pierre Perifel is directing with Damon Ross producing, with JP Sans serving as co-director. Daniel Pemberton will again handle the score.

    For the next two weeks (until Apil 11th), they are showing the 4K restoration of Le Samourai. I attended a near sold-out screening on Saturday and the picture quality was outstanding. I think that the restored film will also be playing in other cities in the weeks ahead. Look for it. Now, if someone could only shut up that darn bird! :)

    @Dwayne, that looks like quite the treat. Red Sun was ridiculously entertaining, and sports one of my favorite casts for a Western too, like an international buffet of some of my favorite stars of the time.
