    @fire_and_ice, that multiverse plan will crash and burn as soon as the movie hits theaters and they realize people want nothing to do with it. Look at what happened with all of the planned 'Terminator' sequels after 'Genisys' debuted.

    I have no doubt that will happen, studios are raiding there archives attempting to create a MCU type cash cow, Ghostbusters was obviously made by a committee with a terrible taste in saturated color pallets. Apparently there is going to be a Robin Hood cinematic universe also, I would guess they will have a Fryer Tuck origin story. #-o

    Hollywood have the misguided opinion a known property is a safe bet, though many cheaper films are churned out on that basis and will make small profits consistently even thought the films are rubbish.

    He also was going to direct a Bourne spin-off with Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross.

    Hopefully it gets ejected from that pipeline, immediately into a brick wall as fast as humanly possible. One movie with Renner as Aaron Cross is more than enough.

    And Terrence Malick's Voyage Of Time is finally coming out later this year. (No news on the release of Weightless, yet.)
    It didn’t show up in the Cannes line-up as some predicted, but we won’t have to wait too long for Terrence Malick’s long-gestating Voyage of Time. The Ennio Morricone-scored project — which is technically two films, one a more educational 40-minute IMAX version narrated by Brad Pitt and the other a feature-length cut narrated by Cate Blanchett — is described as “a celebration of the earth – from the birth of the universe to its final collapse.”

    Finally, we have our first official confirmation on when it will arrive. Buried deep in an IMAX press release about its first quarter 2016 earnings, they reveal that an October 7th, 2016 release is set for the IMAX version, which now makes a TIFF or Venice premiere likely. With only IMAX reporting now, there isn’t an update regarding the feature-length version, but hopefully it finds distribution too.

    It will also get quite some time on IMAX screens, as the next scheduled release isn’t until Doctor Strange, a month later although it’s expected that the Dan Brown adaptation Inferno, on October 28th, gets an IMAX release and there’s a chance Underworld: Blood Wars does on October 14th. However, neither are listed in the press release. With the IMAX version running only 40 minutes, along with specialty IMAX theaters, it could easily fit between some tentpoles throughout the day.

    We've had 2 conversations on these forums lately: One about having Cruise working with a serious director again, and the other about actors making a comeback in recent years (Damon, Affleck, Hanks).

    Which got me thinking: which popular actor is fading away in direct to DVD nonsense lately? Answer: Bruce friggin Willis. The guy is an absolute legend and I refuse to believe that his career is over. He's 61 years old, so he's not that young but not that old either.

    Which brings me to the same director as our discussion with Cruise: Denis Villeneuve. Once he's done with 'Blade Runner 2 and his 'Sicario' sequel, he should so crime/revenge film with dear Bruce. Maybe have Bruce as an ex body-guard or something out on revenge for the death of his old friend (like Michael Caine in 'Harry Brown' mixed with Denzel Washington in 'Man on Fire').

    But is should be a brutal film. Not a high body count like Taken, but each kill by Willis' character should be absolutely mind-blowingly violent. And I don't mean CGI blood or anything, but just get the guys working on Bourne or John Wick, and give us something awesome and badass. Even have a torture sequence like when Neeson electrocutes the guy in 'Taken', and give Willis a total unhinge performance as someone on path for absolute, no-nonsense, brutal revenge. I want to see Willis as the ultimate revenge machine, calculating, methodic, and who dispatches the enemy force with violence like we've rarely seen before.

    The film should be set somewhere cool - South America? Asia? Africa? Take your pick. And no happy ending either - I'd like the film to end like my dream version of 'LTK' - Willis in the middle of nowhere, with blood and dirt everywhere, looking at the horizon with the dead bodies of the final bad guys behind him. I'm sure Villeneuve can make some powerful ending like that.

    C'mon, let's give Willis the come back of the century. I am absolutely sure he can deliver a performance for the ages with a talented director that believes in him.

    Sadly, Willis has been long gone for years for me. He's stepped up and stated numerous times that he really doesn't care about a majority of the movies he acts in anymore, and he does only for the paycheck and no other reason. Until he puts forth some modicum of interest and effort, I doubt I check out many of his films (mainly because most of them are direct-to-DVD and rather generic).

    I'm with you @DaltonCraig007. Willis is a legend to me. I don't care how many times he consciously chooses to 'f' up (and he's done it many times). The guy just has 'it'. Nobody can deliver a one liner like him, except Roger Moore.

    I realized when I saw the exchange between him, Arnie and Sly in the church in Expendables 2 that he's still got it in spades when he needs to turn it on.

    I'm totally for a 'revenge flick'. Loved 'The Jackal' and think he'd be great doing anything. I agree with @Creasy47 too though that he's been slumming it lately. It's really up to him whether he chooses to step up and make it count again.

    PS: I saw him live on Broadway in Misery in Jan. Made the trek primarily for him. Laurie Metcalf (his co-star) acted her pants off, but he stole the show on pure charisma alone. He got a massive standing ovation at the end.

    He definitely used to deliver, but his complete lack of interest as of late as he flows with a carefree attitude from paycheck to paycheck, doing awful movies, doesn't do it for me. Now 'Die Hard'? THAT is classic Willis.
