    Thankfully, it seems that Johnny Storm being black was literally the last thing on anyone's mind when it came to how poorly the movie was received; and to think that everyone made such a huge stink over that casting decision for months before it was released.

    Johnny Storm being black isn t among the problems within that film. I was very curious how they would pull that off when he was cast, as Johnny and Susan are siblings, but it worked within the story.

    Chris Evans going from The Human Torch to Captain America shows what a fantastic actor he is. Two completely different performances, and he nailed them both.

    I remember seeing the rants on my news feed about Jordan's casting... Endless rants. Lol!

    But, no, his acting performance or casting post-release period wasn't the main issue. I heard the story is inconsistent.

    That's what I'm saying: everyone made such a huge fuss over him being black for months and months, and then the film was finally released and it wasn't even a remote concern amidst all the countless other issues that made it an awful film (from what I gathered in those endless negative reviews, anyway). It's like us having the next Bond played by a black man, and some fans lose their mind about it for months, only for it to be released and the actor delivers...while the rest of the film is a DAD 2.0.

    Too much script is taken up with character changes and establishing the changes, films should just get down to it with familiar characters with no messing about there is so much unused great stories to tell in the comics.

    Rise of the Silver Surfer attempted to do something different if not entirely successful, I would happily watch a Silver Surfer/Galactus story now.

    If you don't like sequels, best to stay out of theaters for the next few weeks: 'Neighbours 2', 'X Men Apocalypse', 'Alice in Wonderland 2', 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2', 'The Conjuring 2' and 'Now You See Me 2' are all coming within the next 3 weeks.

    I enjoyed The Conjuring its one of the better horrors in recent years, quite looking forward to part 2.

    You know? With all this discussion taking place, 2017 is going to be massive for the film industry. Over 25 film franchise installments are coming out, next year.

    In terms of horror, all I'm looking forward to in the near future is that Stephen Lang horror movie, Adam Wingard's 'The Woods,' and 'Under the Shadow,' the Iranian horror movie that has gotten some stellar reviews; then again, so did the likes of 'The Babadook,' 'It Follows,' and a few others, and I found them to be rather overhyped, just like 'The Conjuring.'

    Oh, and 'Insidious: Chapter 4' is on its way now, too, I'm guessing it'll be here by the end of next year.

    Confusion all around. Comic fans rather have a character "done right" instead of having a good film, execs are scared to make good films, yet nevertheless for some reason let filmmakers tinker with the characters, so everyone´s pissed off, but still everybody goes to see those films. I get a headache just from thinking about it.

    I'd watch the **** out of that! :D

    However, I don't think the events of Jason Bourne will collide with that of this new upcoming Robert Ludlum universe.

    The story sounds fine but creating a cinematic universe (horrendously overused term) is so unecessary.

    I know what you mean. Although, as this "multi-universe" thing appears to be a cash-cow with Hollywood, these days, I'm afraid there will be many imitators.

    There already is one in the pipeline with the Square Enix video game franchises, putting Hitman, Tomb Raider, Just Cause, Deus Ex and Thief in one universe, all will be getting their film adaptations soon (Hitman and Tomb Raider already have two, with the latter being close to its source material by far).

    To answer the 'person' who fell in the club in the trailer, it's not a 'race' thing or a 'lady' thing. It's an 'idiot' thing.

    I think this will make money, strangely enough. I can see adults nostalgically taking their kids to it. The special effects do look neat.

    As with the first trailer, this one also looks absolutely terrible. I hope this film's inevitable tanking at the box office doesn't kill off the franchise forever, but it, unfortunately, very well could.

    I saw this trailer before 'Money Monster' tonight, it comes out next week in France. Looks quite interesting, and Isabelle Huppert is one of my favorite actresses (up there with Charlotte Rampling, I'm sure @MajorDSmythe will approve).

    I'm only familiar with Verhoeven's English films, and I've enjoyed them all (yes, including Starship Troopers). I may check this out.
