@Creasy47, I didn't even think of Ex Machina when I watched that. But yes, Morgan definitely has some horror vibes.

Btw, I generally dislike the genre stuff and putting movies, books and music in boxes, anyway... it has its uses, but very often the genre definitions give very limited or misleading impressions of the product, because many movies/books/albums don't neatly fit into the genre they're classified under - they could possibly fit into two or more genres, or are more or less undefinable genre-wise, but are forced into a box.

Completely in agreement, but at the same time, there are particular films that fit perfectly into a genre. Take 'Friday the 13th': that really doesn't fit anywhere but in the horror category. Plus, I think that thread was created years back, just because there were plenty of big horror fans on the forums, and it's still pretty active (especially lately, what with a new 'Halloween,' 'Friday the 13th,' and 'IT' on the way.)

Of course many movies really fit into certain genres and only to them. The same with books and music. But far more often it's the other way around, and that causes various problems. I've been in stores trying to guess in which genre I might find a particular movie or cd - when at first you don't succeed, you try your luck with another genre... if you can guess it... I used to work in a library, and sometimes I was just mystified why something was in the genre it was. And of course some people are only interested in certain genres, and some refuse to have anything to do with some genres they've decided they dislike, and trying to convince them there might be more to a movie/book/music than what they expect from it based on its' genre box, well...

@Tuulia, I do that in stores that have genre sections, too, and it can get pretty annoying once you've looked through a few different categories, and you're trying to think if it belongs in another, or if it's sold out. I see some questionable choices in genre on subscription services and streaming sites such as the categorization in apps like Netflix and Vudu.

@Creasy47 that review is surprising - since I've been reading all day on the french IMDB site about Warcraft fans discovering the movie, and all of them are saying nothing but big praise on the film.

It seems it's another case of fans loving it and critics hating it; but, these are still early reviews, and we had the same thing happen with 'Fantastic Four' and 'Batman v Superman,' so time will tell how this turns out.

The screenwriters he has locked in his basement, as they fervently work on (what they hope) is the greatest script of all time.

New Beauty and the beast film

I´d actually prefer to have the Christophe Gans version from a few years ago back in cinemas.

I am a fan of Gary Oldman and Asa Butterfield (since Scorsese's 'Hugo'), but this new film looks very... weird:

@Creasy47 and @doubleoego will go crazy: 1st trailer for the latest WW2 film from South Korea.. featuring Liam Neeson!!

Set design is already looking pretty nice for the ship. See those first set photos taken a couple of days ago with all of the people strewn across the large stairwell? If this harks back to the style and pacing of the older 'Alien' movies and gets rid of the indecisiveness that came with 'Prometheus,' I think I'm going to really enjoy this.

Likewise. So far so good but Scott's been a bit unpredictable as of late for me. Time will tell.

'Alien: Covenant' is 'Prometheus 2', yes? And 'Alien 5' from Blomkamp is coming 1 year after this? And we have 'Blade Runner 2' coming within 1.5 year, so in the sci fi genre we should get some mighty cool stuff!

@DaltonCraig007, correct on all fronts, though I'm not sure if an exact date is laid out for 'Alien 5' just yet. All I know is by 2018, we're going to have a lot of excellent entries in horror, sci-fi, and action, that's for sure.

I'm looking forward to seeing Waterston in action. She's got potential imho.

Wonder which year Blade Runner 2 is set in. It comes out in 2018, and the original from 1982 was set in 2019, so maybe some time in the 2060s?

@Creasy47 Unless you've built a time machine that can take us to the release day of the movie right away, I really hate you for making me count the days until the film for the next 2 years or so. ;)

@DaltonCraig007, if only! They have made two damn fine films together, so I can't wait to see what's in store when they take on a Nesbo novel. This should be something.

@Creasy47 don't forget the other Nesbo novel, 'The Snowman' coming in 2017 with Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Fergusson, directed by same guy who directed 'Headhunters'.

Oh, I haven't! How can you not look forward to that? Great director, terrific cast, and excellent source material. I'm hoping it's damn good.

@Creasy47 I guess Villeneuve won't do Bond 25 now, since between 'Blade Runner 2' and 'The Son', he's also got 'Sicario 2' to make.
