    (On working with Christopher Eccleston in "Our Friends in the North") He didn't speak to me for the whole year we were filming. At first I thought it was to do with the characters - because there was supposed to be tension between us, but then I realised - he just didn't like me.

    @Thunderpussy, I wasn't trying to change your mind, either, and was sincerely interested in the discussion and your opinions and your reasons for them. Why would you keep opinions of actors to yourself on a movie discussion forum, that makes no sense, and there is no need for such self-censorship. We don't have to agree on stuff, but we can discuss. I don't think @Creasy was attacking you personally at all, and neither was I, and it's a pity you felt that you shouldn't say what you think. I honestly think there was no confrontation here. Interesting discussion can be had when people disagree on issues, as long as discussion stays on issues and doesn't get personal and insulting. Again, I didn't even mean to question your total dislike of Crowe as an actor, only as a person (since it was that strong), which I was curious about.

    Oh well. Talking about anything on the internet can be difficult and frustrating.

    That's interesting, hadn't heard of that. I can't even imagine not talking to someone you work with for a long time. Really weird. I mean, even if you don't like a colleague much (everyone can't like everyone), you should still be able to talk to them (except maybe if they did something truly awful to you or your loved ones or something).

    I'm just so tired of the remakes, sequels and re boots that seem to dominate the landscape. I have been very open about my disgust. I understand that in regards to the "Roots" remake (another timeless classic) but the younger generation will say:
    The movie doesn't speak to me. I don't know any of those actors"
    Okay, I get that (to a degree) Younger fans want to see stars and actors they know and can relate to. Okay...

    Why not just make something new and fresh with actors today? You leave the classics alone and Hollywood can keep their creativity sharp. Movies like "Argo", "Crash", "Gone Girl" shows that they can still do good filmmaking.

    Final note on the sacrilege of "Ben Hur" the film was originally made in the 1920's during the silent era with Ramon Navarro in the title role. A good film but 30 years later the decision to do a remake but this time with color and sound made a lot of sense. But now: WTF new can they bring? We've had sound and color forever. Oh, we can be treated to the chariot race in good CGI.

    Elizabeth Banks Joins "Ocean's 11" Reboot
    Elizabeth Banks will re-team with her "The Hunger Games" director Gary Ross on the upcoming "Ocean's Eleven" reboot at Warner Bros. Pictures. Shooting is expected to begin this Fall.

    Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter are all onboard for this all-new, all-female heist caper film which Ross will direct and produce.

    Currently going under the unofficial working title "Ocean’s Ocho," as there are eight thief protagonists instead of the traditional eleven, this would indicate at least three more major principal parts need to be filled by famous actresses.

    A continuation of the George Clooney-led films, Bullock plays Danny Ocean's ex-con sister who, with help from her right-hand woman (Blanchett), forms a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a duplicitous gallery owner.

    An all-female Ocean's reboot? Kill me now.

    Has it really been that hard to get all the boys back for Ocean's 14? I've been waiting for that one for years now, but this? No.

    Maybe when the new Ghostbusters bombs big time at the BO, studios will realize that a film can't succeed when the only thing it exists for is to push a gender agenda. Instead of all-male or all-female movies, how about we just get films with great characters. Gender has never mattered. Of course, you've got bean counters to contend with these days who tell you what gender sells action figures better, or what gender charts better reactions at test screenings, so maybe we're just doomed, and this is the backwards world we've got to adjust to now?

    Wow, it actually happened. This isn't a first though, as fan appeal and the appeal of the actors/actresses themselves have scored major roles in the F&F franchise before. Statham, for instance, was voted by the fans as the one they wanted to see around the time of the 6th film, and sure enough, he appeared in 7, and looks to appear in 8 too.

    @DaltonCraig007, June 24th is going to be a busy day over here, since Free State of Jones, Independence Day & The Neon Demon are all opening then. I'm spoiled for choice! I will definitely catch them all, but I'm most interested in seeing an under the radar thriller opening on the same day entitled The Shallows with Blake Lively.
