I followed you back! Be warned, though, non-Bond tweets in Dutch are still a thing on my Twitter. ;)

Welcome @007_MJH. We’re about the same age (48 in my case), so that’s heartening. I recommend you take the time and start reading Fleming (in order is recommended, but not required). You’re love of Bond will override any hesitation of reading a lot of books... I think you’ll be happily surprised about how much you enjoy them.

I enjoy seeing what I can figure out of tweets in other languages (with varying success)!

Much appreciated, thank you. Yes, I really should read the Fleming novels. Need to make the effort.

Thank you! I've noticed, yes! Strange, since it's always thought that the Dutch have the larger Bond community! They're the ones with the special premieres...

And a warm welcome to @007_MJH, too! I'm also not much of a Fleming reader, so I get your feelings!

    Hello!
I decided to join this forum, as I have been a Bond fan for more than 20 years (since I was 7-8). The first Bond movie I watched was Tomorrow Never Dies, which I liked back then, but don't care much for anymore. Since then I have watched all the Bond movies many times and read 6 of the novels.
I am not as much of a die hard Bond fan as I was 15 years ago, now I see myself as more of a fan of cinema as a whole. But I love a lot of the Bond movies, and the James Bond franchise will always have a special place in my heart.

    Hello to all!

Decided to join this forum, having been a Bond fan for almost the past 2 years. Even though I saw GoldenEye, Skyfall and Spectre in my teenage years, the franchise didn't really catch on to me until 2017, and I have been a fan ever since. My first Bond film back then was Casino Royale, which I found alright. Since then I have watched all the movies, with some of my favorites being GoldenEye, From Russia With Love, Die Another Day, The Spy Who Loved Me and Licence to Kill. Thrilled to join here and hope to have a good time here.

Hi all, long time lurker and even longer time Bond fan!
My first foray into the world of movie 007 was via a grainy VHS viewing of The Spy Who Loved Me, back in 1982-ish (if my memory serves me) - to this day that film remains one of my faves.
I then quickly worked my way through the Fleming novels (more than once) and was hooked for life.
Since then I've had a preference for the harder edged/Fleming inspired movies, while devouring every continuation novel and companion book available to sate my interest in the world of Bond.
Favourite Bond - Timothy Dalton (closely followed by Sir Sean and DC).
Look forward to getting involved in some interesting discussions!
