Ohhhh, I bet it's coming. Within the next two hours would be a good bet, wouldn't it? :)
The best part of the poster is the pastel blue wall, something directly from the style and architecture of the Caribbean.
It really got me looking forward to GE like a fanboy gone berserk.
Then this one:
These two are my go-to references for awesome Bond posters. I guess everything that came after those two let me down a bit.
Iconic.
Oh, they'd need to do much more than that, old friend ;)
The title is alright, a few notches smaller is all that takes. The image however, is too flat. Enhance the contrast to Craig's face and body slightly to make him stand out more, and you have a better poster, IMO.
Yep, safe to say this now, no trailer today. Even though in their own media there are tons and tons of people clamouring for it. Really, just read them. It's like "poster meh, give us the trailer...blah blah". But nop, looks like we won't get a trailer today.
Best news of the day, for me that is, was about the AM Superleggera being in the film in some capacity. And today's colour is definitely petrol-blue ;) Other than that, we got an awfully amateuristic teaser poster that almost no one really liked and... that's it folks.
Fingers crossed for next week ;)
Not just me, though. Planning on doing a global comment?
PS: Love Dame Smith, btw, well done ;)
Before the cut on his lip and cuts on his face. And I too love that tux.
Would be quite the eventful weekend if it happens!
A few members on here have come up with much better, @AgentJamesBond007 @Denbigh @NS_writings come to mind
I just hope that our patience will not be in vain, because the majority of us have been patient. I hope a teaser is at least on it's way, I trust all the great sources we have here (I feel bad for them to be honest because they're always great and don't have to tell us anything) and I'm sure their sources have been misinformed perhaps.
Could the teaser have been delayed? Reason I ask is because there have been a lot of different very reliable people putting their necks out for us to say it's coming soon and then it hasn't arrived. Could it have been delayed to add more Matera scenes?
And I’m so sad we disagree for once @Univex, but you’ll always be my bro :)
Thank you @Jordo007!
Looking at the foreign posters, it's safe to say that with a smaller logo it looks a little bit better. But it feels rushed. Where's that intimidating look of Craig's Bond? Or at least the confident look of the Brosnan days? Bond looks like having just spotted a paparazzi around.
It’s not as bad as some people say IMO, but not great either. The CR teaser poster was the best, and I also liked the QOS and SF ones pretty well. I would put the NTTD above the one with Craig’s SP one, which was hurt a lot by the background.
I do too. I'm getting quite bored of all this criticism and all this everything-experts.
It's a teaser poster and it teases us. It has Bond, a Tuxedo, a strange look on his face and a location that doesn't reflect the tuxedo. What else would you want?
- They are continuing to highlight the font choice for the title (which I personally love); the movie must have a retro feel throughout. I’m thinking FRWL was the main influence in terms of photography, color scheme, style, etc
- Craig’s weathered face is ON DISPLAY here; they have intentionally chosen to NOT smooth out his wrinkles. This is a beaten down, scarred, brutalized Bond. This undoubtedly ties into the plot. It would have been extremely easy to polish up his face but they did not.
- They’re clearly dedicated to keeping a tight lid on any plot details. I know minimal posters are in style but nothing more than a carefully chosen blue hue wall. Weathered, just like his face, with his matching ice cold blue eyes.
I agree and I hope it that is indeed the actual thought being put into it, and not just a coincidence. Despite being underwhelmed by the poster itself, I have really liked the title font from the day they revealed it.
Assuming it is carefully thought, I had the impression that it tells we're going back to a CR kind of film - which is CJF's favorite. That wall (presumably "Cuba") gives an interesting message about the tone. It's harsh and decadent, it's totally in contrast with a tuxedo, even more in daylight. His expression tells concern and things are not going well.
It's not my favorite, but the message is promising.
