The Q scene is below par. Boring BMW.
I don't understand all the hate for the 750. If anything, it's the most realistic Q-branch car he's ever had, a banker in germany in a flagship executive sedan...
This is James Bond. I don't want him in a boring realistic car...
I think it is seriously underrated in the Bond world re personal fights such as FRWL vs Grant,SP vs Hinx,TB vs Bouvar,QOS vs Slate,GE vs Trevelyn.
Class gunbarrel and we're off. Connery is cooler than cool in this. This film is James Bond. Confident in it's own abilities and it's what the word 'iconic' was invented for....
The untouchable Goldfinger.
I have a very difficult time letting any other film take my number one spot.
Hard to believe it's been nearly 3 weeks since I last watched a Bond.
So here we go:
DR. NO
Classic titles.
My commenting may be interrupted a bit here, unfortunately.
Very much looking forward to the new film now. Jamaica is my favorite Bond location. I should visit someday.
Strangways is quite dashing and suave,
Strangway's secretary. Very nice, indeed.
Sylvia, I find a bit underrated. She's a great Bond girl, IMO. Eunice Gayson was wonderful. Excellent in THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN.
Bond is called into work at 3:00 am. Moneypenny is also going a graveyard shift as well.
I worked a graveyard shift last night and had to stay an extra hour thanks to the daylight savings time change.
I love scenes where characters are awake in the middle of the night when they should be in bed.
This film has plenty of that.
Bond is issued a PPK and told off by M and Boothroyd.
She helped my decorate my room like Bond might have it. Bought me a roll top desk at one point, book shelves like M's office and so forth. I'd come home from school some days and discover she had bought some Bondian sports jackets and blazers for me.
She'd find cool things in used furniture stores and antique shops.
Bond in Jamaica investigating Strangway's office. I always loved these scenes where Bond is doing some detective work. Great stuff.
When I was a kid I always liked the scenes in Bond's hotel suites.
Here we go..........007 placing the hair on his closet door. That's quite a long strand of hair Bond has there. I should grow mine long on the top like that again. Apply the Brylcreem. I don't think Craig could pull this scene off.
Jump Up is my all time favorite song.
Jack Lord is astonishingly cool as Felix.
Puss-Feller is quite suave as well. His white dinner jacket reminds me of Bogie's in CASABLANCA.
I love the climax of this film. The dinner scene, the heating vent, Bond's beating, the No fight. Great stuff.
Where is the girl they brought in with me?
Where is she?
Bond knocks out a lot of people here to get to Honey.
I do wish NTTD would end with 007 and his leading lady on a boat of dingy.
I don't think that's going to happen though.
Damn.
Connery's Bond gets laid at the end of his films.
Craig's Bond does not.
This is interesting..............
the film ends with the gunbarrel image.
The only Bond film I approve of doing so.
Excellent viewing of DR NO.
