Would it be a stretch to say Blofeld is now helping Bond?
I can’t tell you exactly what that relationship is there. But we’re trying to honour the legacy of the story, and what Blofeld’s meant for the Bond character for so long. In Spectre, they establish different roots to their relationship. So this film, I think in many ways, tries to continue that adversarial relationship. But obviously, with the obstruction that Blofeld’s in prison.
Polite way of saying that Bro-feld is dead and Blofeld is alive! It'll probs just be an excuse to explain the characters have a 'history' nothing more. Then we are in the classic Bond v Blofeld dynamic.
No film drone can carry IMAX film (!) camera. Only IMAX digital cameras that are much less heavy and smaller. Photos we have with drone in NTTD, as for me, indicate that they use 35mm camera. It was definitely 35 mm camera for London filming.
But anyhow the last time I looked 00s were secret agents, which means their main job is to acquire intelligence, not to kill people. How often did James Bond get sent into the field in order to kill someone? Ususally he gets sent to find things out. And one big asset of any person to find things out is charme. I dare say female secret agents all over the world gathered a lot more intelligence by using charme than by using bullets.
Another thing inviting negativity is not so much Nomi´s fault, but the writers´. The supposed knee joke. Why in the world would Bond´s knees be screwed up so much? I could halfway accept Silva making a remark about knees, since he came across as a bit excentric and insane, so he could say a lot of things and get away with them. But repeating the insinuation here seems pretty dumb. Bond when on duty has short periods of intensive physical stress, usually followed by periods of at least several months where he can recover and work out. So why the f should any of his body parts not be in good shape? And even if we would assume that 00s lead such a devastating life that in their early 50s they need crutches, it comes still across as rather dumb if Nomi says it to Bond, because being a 00 herself it means she ridicules her own future.
A remark like the one Nomi makes would make sense in a film where the theme of employers wasting their human resources is brought up as a topic. I don´t see that here.
But mabe the scene will hardly pop out during the whole film and I won´t notice it then :-).

Yes, well I think her sentence alludes to him being out of shape in a remote island, fishing. The old man and the sea, bad knees and all. But I didn't find it a superb line, to tell you the truth. I think they could've been more creative. But we don't know its context. Maybe there's more cracking lines in what seems to be a cracking first dynamic. We shall see :)
Well, in one scene (GE) it was intended to play with Bond's attention to both women, Xenia and the evaluator. In this one (NTTD) it's meant to play as a suspicion scene, so Bond is not looking her in the eye. Besides, they're being attacked and he has to keep his eyes on the road, and transfer all of his anger to the assailers. My two cents, anyway.

Pretty much everyone as soon as the Oberhauser name was revealed at the 2014 press conference. So much so that I thought the brothergate angle was meant to be a red herring to trick the viewers and Blofeld would reveal he was pretending to be Bond's forster brother to play with Bond's mind. Admittedly that would have been really poor, but still better than what we got.

Well said, Ilsa is genuinely best strong female character i have seen in a while (I would pay good money to see her standalone adventures), one of the many reason i have soft spot for RN. But I think it's too soon to judge Nomi's character. Unlike Ethan and Ilsa, Nomi is taking bond's code which could be a bit challenging for our Jimmy. We will see in april, this will be long 4 months for me ;)

I love Ilsa, but Ethan Hunt is no Bond. Ethan is a nice guy, Bond can take some verbal abuse, and dish it out just as well, which creates some better tension. Put Ilsa and Bond in one room and these two will insult and then hump each other in a matter of minutes.
With Ethan and Ilsa, i can't even tell after two films, how attracted they are to each other.
If they had included Bonds reaction to Nomis lines, it would have been a level playing field, but they did not for some reason. Let's wait and see how it plays out in the film.
Well of course. Brofeld is a fact. Is canon, like it or not. They’re not retconning anything, but obviously it was part of the SP story. In NTTD won’t be mentioned and is fine, because the story doesn’t need to dive further into that. If u ask me I’m quite happy with Blofeld return, especially in this brief Lecter kind of situation.
He's back in. He was Bond from the end of CR. Remember we are still panicking without seeing the film.
And Blofeld, I think l, will only taunt Bond.

But is that really the real location background. As far as I know we have never seen the lake from the cars point of view during filming, right? They done some CGI of course, deleting the crew camp/people and fixed the landing spot of the car but the background.. Added later??

I have had non-Bond fans wondering why there was trailer for the trailer. In fact, Bond fans questioned that, too. LOL

our society has become a cynical, knee-jerk, reactionary, guilty until proven innocent society.. the littlest thing, taken out of context, all of sudden becomes a beacon.. the internet can be great - but it's also an empowering tool for apathy and ignorance.
i have had a lot of interaction with people who seem legit confused and angry about Lashawna Lynch as the new 007.. some are friends, some complete strangers...
half are ignorant to what it really means - those people believe that when she was cast, she was actually cast as a female James Bond, because they can't and/or don't disassociate the 00 number from the person.. they just simply arent educated enough to know that there have been multiple 00 agents over the years, and even James Bond wasn't the first 007 - the one before him was killed, and Bond was promoted into that slot.. i've tried educating these types of people the best i can, because they dont know any better..
but there is the other half... these are the ones that know the difference, but simply don't like the fact that it's a woman in the role.. had those same lines and same attitude been coming from someone like Channing Tatum - a lot of these Dude-Bros wouldn't care, in fact they'd probably love it.. but the fact that it's a woman, somehow makes it bad, and a terrible idea.. too them it's agenda pushing METOO and they just aren't simply going to take another "woke" movie.. just read through some of the youtube comments, it's a festering slime pool of bigotry..
This is why I said they better come up with a great marketing plan because most people think 007 and Bond are tied.
