:)) :)) I bloody knew it :))
There's reports that the film opens in a bar or cafe, but maybe that changed from earlier drafts, or the apartment is in a rented room above the cafe/bar.
It just looks to me that the interior set decor and lighting approach - strong sunlight coming through the window slats and back-lighting through a narrow doorway - with Bond walking towards camera - both match. So it could be that our first shot of Bond is seeing his silhouetted figure advancing up the narrow corridor, into the light, and he cautiously enters the shadowing room and finds the dead man in the chair. Bond's suit seems to also match his suit in the pre-titles.
The earliest scene we know about is scene 3, with Bond exiting a building in Istanbul, so its possible that there is an apartment scene in 1 and 2.
Why am I not suprised :))
Hold the presses !!! We have a shocking news here !!!
United Kingdom, as its title states, are united kingdoms - the UK is divided between England, Wales, Scotland.
England = country.
If anyone is interested , the trailer is on playstation store so you can store it on your ps3 :D
Reminded me of...
'For England, James...'
'For England, Alec....'
Divided among (more than two)...and don't forget Northern Ireland ;-). The U.K is a country as well. The prime country under which its constituent countries are a member. As a British intelligence officer, I would expect his answer to be the United Kingdom. Even if he was in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Still, a minor thing really. As there's nothing else to critique seeing as the trailer did its job and showed us just the right amount without going overboard. Skyfall might be some sort of purging programme? A pogrom against 00s? But then we know SIS itself comes under attack...hmm.
edit: I can't find it anywhere
Logging on to find over 270 unread posts in one thread is quite something! Well, I've read the entire thread and I'm glad so many like it. I really do, too.
The tone of the trailer may seem un-Bond but I think this only adds to the fact this is Bond we're watching, we don't need the theme. The hints of the Bond theme work really well and as has been said by everyone, it looks amazing. Deakins has worked his magic here.
I could go on but I think everything important has been covered, for now.
I give this top marks, so I'm hoping for the best Bond in a long time now.
It was interesting to see the prop of Bond's passport. So Daniel's Bond was born 13th April 1968!
I remember a prop of Bond's driving licence in TLD, he was born in 1947... and Bond's health dossier in TWINE, he was born in 1961/1962.
I hope your opinion doesn't shift about this movie after the excitement wears off.
It seems very different from the older films...... fresh. (I remember you saying you were excited about CR at first)
Oh and also MGW saying that, whilst they don't know until the editing is complete, the film will likely be around 2 hours.
This seems more 'classical' than CR/QOS while still being 'fresh' as you say.. so this seems like the Bond film I will like :) but I must say I can't wait to see B-) Ralph Fiennes B-) in the film !!
Craig looks more relaxed, David Arnold gone, Deakins is onboard... I think this film will be stellar !! Maybe not a top 3 outing, but looks very much like a top 7 outing for me IMO !!
On that note, I wonder how many homages to Bourne Baywatch did?
And yet I don't remember this shot in any other film apart from both the first and last Bourne movies... which happen to be the biggest spy/thriller competitors to Bond in the last 10 years. Hmmm. Strange that. Oh well, either it's deliberate, which is odd, or it's a pure coincidence, which is even odder.
You´re right.
It is strange.
;)
Remember that the circunstances of the fall will be very, very different. Besides, at this stage, even with another fil...flop coming, don´t you think it´s time to say Bourne who? I mean, who cares about that, even Matt Damon has moved on ;) I know Weisz is in it, which is probably the only reason worth seeing it, but really, let me:
Bourne who?
Ok saying that Bond is ripping of Bourne in the trailer was bullshit but why say Bourne who? I'm looking forward to the new film and I'm hoping Damon will come back for the 5th (if there is one), and it's good for Bond to have competition.
