I'm not crazy about Q's new Scrabble mug. But maybe he'll just use it periodically.

Good one mate, that was gold. Or should I say, 'Au, atomic number 79'.

I missed the Q watch last time, still can't decide if I want it or not this time round. Suppose I have the weekend to think about it! Any thoughts from those that picked it up as to your impression now you have it?

I've never been a fan of the Swatch watches, they look like the kind of watches I wore when I was like, seven years old. However, I made an exception for the Q watch, because it's an item seen in the film. It does look great in person, with all the cogs and inner workings showing, and the way the light hits the steel ring around the dial adds to its beauty. The strap says 'designed by Q' on the back. The laptop display packaging is cool, but you get over that fast.

I paid $540 for this watch on ebay, not including shipping. I don't know what it sold for on the Swatch site, but you shouldn't have to pay more than what I paid. Both old and new model can be found on ebay now. The screen watch has red hands and, I assume, the same cream inner strap, and this newer one has blue hands and red inner strap. The copper coil inside is coloured different too.

All in all, a satisfactory purchase, although my wallet is still cursing me.

Thanks for your thoughts @QBranch I'm not actually a watch wearer myself unless it's a special occasion, but I do like the look of the Q watch - interesting design in itself , and one that doesn't scream 007. Plus it looks like it's pretty compact and slim, as I don't have the wrists for big chunky watches! I'll keep thinking!

It is a slim watch. I prefer them a bit chunkier, but I, too, have small wrists (I can wrap my thumb and ring finger around my wrist and they touch quite easily).

540 Dollars for the Qwatch? Wow, that's a lot. I ordered the watch on day one and I paid 280 swiss franks. It's a beautiful watch but I didn't wear it often so far. I wonder if the wristband would survive an everyday use for more than a year??? I prefer to wear a cheaper watch on a regular day like the DN swatch. The first scratch is less emotional when the watch isn't too expensive...

So the one out this week featured blue hands and a different strap? I can't seem to find pictures anywhere.

I heard the first Q watch sold out within a day or so, so the price could only go up elsewhere. What I paid is about the average lowest price you'll get it for now. It was released in March and I bought it at the end of August.

That Q watch is definitely one of the more affordable watches available now that is worn or related to NTTD. Looks good too.

Since that video, another watch has been identified - a Tissot, seen during the LALD boat chase as well as other scenes filmed in New Orleans.

I bought a badge and playing cards to compliment the Q Swatch:

I’ve always been obsessed with the LALD submariner and Bond’s rolexes in general. I’ve thought about getting the invicta or seiko approximations. Are those the best budget options?

@hegottheboot_ I recommend one of these LTK sub look-a-likes, I bought one in black PVD with green & red casino theme (see photos below) from the same seller and the quality is impressive. No branding on it too:

My newest watch - I call it 'The Dalton'. Can you guess three reasons why?

For a budget Bond watch, i'd suggest the 'Casio Royale'. Which, if i'm honest, I think looks better than the OP Seiko that it is inspired by. I don't like the black border around the face of the Seiko.

I wish someone would do a revival of that Octopussy Seiko though- it's so recognisable and probably the most memorable Bond watch! There are so many retro revival watches at the moment that I think it would sell well, although I guess Seiko wouldn't do it because they don't sell digitals anymore.

I've thought for a while that it could even be something the 007 store could sell.

A bit surprised that a casino-themed 'Sub' didn't get any love on a Bond forum. Tough crowd.

Anyway, these are my Submariner replicas - top pic is a newie. It's basically Dalton's LTK sub without the branding.

Two in the photo are unbranded, the one on the left is a 'Steel Bagelsport', of which many were doing the rounds back in 2012-2013. Got them all off ebay from Chinese sellers.

Ah okay. I have a Chinese homage myself, made by San Martin (they have sterile dial ones available but I was happy to have their name on it). It's a really top quality watch, surprisingly!
They also do a great, more retro styled dive watch which is a bit more in the style of the Goldfinger watch, although it's not a replica of it. I have one and it's lovely little thing. Ceramic bezel, domed sapphire crystal, amazing value.
