The count keeps on climbing ...

The count doesn't like anyone else climbing though. Just ask Shaun Campbell! ;)

    I'm sure that's a quote, but I don't know what it is, but I won't ask.

It's from Blofeld in OHMSS when Bond's ally Campbell is found and killed.

@Dragonpol I really liked the Elastica song, hadn't heard it before. In true post-punk fashion, around 2 minutes long! Listened to it a second time. The vocal reminded me a bit of Debora Iyall of Romeo Void. And I didn't know George Benson did that video for the song. @Thunderfinger, fun to hear the Eurythmics song again. I also remember the original video for that. How about that, I didn't know it went #1 in the UK...only got up to #22 here in the U.S.

I'm glad you liked the Elastica song, @Thrasos. I only know of it for being the theme tune for Dom Joly's comedy show Trigger Happy TV from 2000:

I've read that all of that band's songs and albums are very short like that, leaving the listener wanting more! Maybe it's better that way than a song going on too long and outstanding its welcome?

@Thrasos , I like the earlier Eurythmics output better. Their first four albums are all brilliant. The next two are ok, with some great stuff here and there.

Van Morrison - Why are you on Facebook?

    Good question, actually.

You're not missing anything. I'm on it but not of it, if you get my meaning. In fact, I haven't posted anything on it since November 2020 and may never do so again. I only really use it for Messenger and special interest groups these days. Here is much better though. The classic Internet message board with a modern twist.
