    I rejoined in 2011, but I'm pretty sure I was here before. Could be confused with Cbn, of course, as I remember being part of one forum in 99 or at least slightly before DUD. I remember James Page in one place, and Dan BluEyes in the other place, so that's gotta be a long time stamp right there. Anyways, forum life has had its ups and downs, but having you guys be part of my life for the last ___ (who knows?) years has been a privilege and an honour. Keep it up, and thank you.

    Yes, BlueEyes was a mod over on CBn many years ago. A nice guy as I remember. I was a member of CBn between 2002 and 2012. Then when things turned sour there I came over to MI6 and have never looked back since. The Bond fan who came in from the cold. ;)

    eheh, frankly, I like both forums, always did find good people in both of them, rotten ones as well. It's the nature of the beast, I'd say. Also was part of ajb007 forums for a while but the place got a bit slow. We're all fans of the same thing, in the end.

    Yes, I suppose forums are a microcosm of society and just like in society there are both good and bad people. Perhaps too a certain freedom comes with the relative anonymity of forum membership which removes inhibitions and which can encourage bad behaviour in some. I too have been a member of AJB since 2003 and it remains my oldest Bond forum membership. I agree that our fandom is our common Bond, across all of the different forums.

    Always liked the ajb007 forums as well. Love them all, actually. Made good friends in all of them. Sometimes we forget about what bind us together, but in times like these, so close to having another film come out, it's wonderful to be reminded of the wonder of it all, and of how lucky we are of being part of this community.

    I joined in 2006 to express my opposition to the casting of Craig as Bond and the changing of the series. All these years later and he is still playing Bond and about to star in Casino Royale 5!

    I have the same opinion of his portrayal of Bond and the changes in the series that I had in 2006! It will be interesting to read all the reviews of his last film when it is released next week.

    Even in 2006 I never could have imagined he'd have a film coming out 15 years later.

    I haven't visited the DCINB forum for a long time, but I imagine folks there are even more jaded than they were when Craig had only one film under his belt.

    @Birdleson Thank you so much! I never had a place or a person to yap on and on about Bond before, so it’s been a lot of fun coming here and being able to express myself about my biggest fandom. I’ve met many kind people here and despite having to take some breaks for different reasons, I couldn’t possibly miss a new Bond premiere which is merely hours away now! Here’s hoping for many more fun times ahead and more frequent new Bond films to discuss and celebrate!

    The excitement around NTTD has certainly brought me back into the fore. 6 years of Bond film absence has been a slog (especially as Spectre was a misfire) - now I know how guys felt back in 1995!

    But I’ll be sure to have an inordinate about to discuss in the coming days with my attendance at the World Premiere tomorrow, I intend to write a comprehensive, but resolutely spoiler-free, review the following day. I’ll see you on the other side!

    @MayDayDiVicenzo I can’t wait to read your thoughts about it! I’ve really enjoyed seeing you here. Hoping NTTD is a nice, big rebound from SP and a sound sendoff for an excellent James Bond!

    I'm right there with you, it's always a grueling wait if you don't like the previous installment, ESPECIALLY when there's a six year gap in between. Just days to go and hopefully we'll both be highly satisfied with this one!

    I first joined KTBEU forum just after the release of DAD back in 2002. I don't know what happened around 2010 but I found I had to re-register in 2011 and that all my previous comments about the movie releases of DAD, CR and QoS had completely vanished. I never truly got to the bottom of it and why this was done. I simply shrugged my shoulders and reused my former moniker, minus all my old history. Am I right in saying that nothing was archived from KTBEU from a certain date and all the original posts before 2010 have now been totally erased? I really did love the old Keeping the British End Up (KTBEU) forum and I feel it's such a shame that a large part of social Bond commentary has now been lost forever.

    Nope, you might find some pages over the years, but it's really not much. I could only find a page which said I'd commented last, but clicking on it (and finally finding my original join-date resulted to nothing. I think some people tried to safe som of it, but to little avail. In the previous pages here you can find some of the links of pages that have been found.

    Thanks @CommanderRoss for your reply. It's a real shame as I wanted to revist the comments I had posted on CR after my press screening back in 2006. As I recall, I was the first member here to give a positive feedback on the movie after watching it. I think a few others joined the chat afterwards, but as I only lived a few minutes from the Odeon Leicester Square I got to post first. Ah, those were the days.

    I remember challenging other members to see CR on as many continents as possible, as I was going for a around-the-world trip. I managed four, Asia (Bangkok, in an epic 'Paragon' cinema), Australia, US and finally when I got back it still played in my home town in Europe. Strangely, nobody took up the challenge....

    Paragon cinemas are great. They're probably my favourite cinema experience. I saw The Dark Knight in their Bangkok IMAX theatre on its very first showing, even ahead of the US by several hours!!

    As for the CR global challenge, I was London duty bound so I couldn't take up your offer. I had to make do with the Kensington High Street Odeon for my second viewing.
