It looks like a moving Batman comic book. Any given shot has more style than any Nolan Batman film.
It's different but "more style"? It's a bit early for such comparisons I think. Besides, Nolan's films are very stylish too. Some would even say too much style and not enough substance. (I disagree, but then, I'm a Nolan fan.) But yeah, the new film looks great (as well).

I just have to say again this looks so good, and it's truly the Batman film I've been waiting for. It genuinely looks like a Batman comic brought to life. This trailer is absolutely perfect.

His aesthetic was rather bland. Gotham city just looked like Chicago. Most of the shots were too naturalistic and grounded. This one looks like blade runner and se7en had a child with a Batman comic.

I'm becoming more and more sold of Pattinson here. I think there's better shots of him in this trailer. I might actually go see this.

New trailer looks great. Robert Pattinson looks like he could be a very good Batman.
    Looking forward too this.

    That. Batmobile. Damn. :-O

TAS one is still my favourite (the Art Deco styling just does it for me), but that one is the best looking live action Batmobile.

That trailer kicked ass. And I was a non believer of Pattison as Batman. Still don't think I'll like his take on Wayne. But I'm now open to be convinced. That music, damn it, that music, that so simple awesome musical theme!

I think he'll probably be a good Batman, but not so much a good Bruce. Which is funny - when he was announced I thought it would have been the other way round!

Sorry, but I'll hold back on the almost unanimous support. While it certainly looks appealing, I felt I'd seen much of it before: the Catwoman kicks, the fights, the car chases, facing the villain in jail, minor baddies in skull makeup and as someone else mentioned, the bleak Blade Runner-esque atmosphere. Aside from actor and cast, is there really anything new or different that we haven't seen since 1989?

I just had to post quite a few screenshots. The idea was just to post the best screencaps from the trailer but every frame is a work of art.

All three of them had the child? ;)

This does look very good. Incredibly good. Even if Bruce Wayne looks like he decided to become Batman after they wouldn't let him be a part of My Chemical Romance.

  • I have to say, I do prefer this much more stylized take on Batman. Certainly, the best Gotham has looked since Batman Begins imo.

Totally mis read that as if they were talking about the Batman 2

Which I will say this if we are redoing villains done poorly (as the pattern seems to be) I kind of want a redo of either Mr Freeze or Poison Ivy

Of course it pisses me off Batman’s oldest Villain has never been used in a film…

Hugo……. Strange (every time I hear that name I think of how it was delivered in Arkham city cinematic trailer)

I presume that they are a bit worried that those who are less DC educated might think that the name "Strange" uniquely belongs to that other doctor.
