TB: I get to bed Fiona and Domino, go to a tropical paradise and save the world. Oh yes.
MR: I get to bed Corrine and Holly, go into space and save the world. Double Oh yes.

Basically, it's all about bedding the right women and saving the world for me. :>

In that case it would have to be LTK - though I don't much like the idea of getting beaten up, drugged, knocked out and spat in the face by BDT!
So maybe TB, Domino and Fiona - oh yes!

I'd like to sound clever and cultured and say something like OHMSS or CR, but who am I kidding? It'd have to be MR. Why? Five reasons: Venice, Rio, space, totty and lots of cheap innuendo. In short, it would be bliss... ;)

Agree. MR is "fantasy" Bond at its best and a perfect one for escapism which is what this thread is really about.

I guess OHMSS while filming the Piz Gloria sequences. Imagine being stuck up on that mountain with those international beauties?

    Another excellent choice. :)

Totally agree. Excellent choice. I would love to enjoy my time at Piz Gloria then a daring ski chase to freedom, to then come back and kick some ass!

I'd love to be in every Bond mission except for the following:
Dr. No- not enough going on
    Goldfinger- a prisoner? no thanks
On Her Majesty's Secret Service- the heraldry crap would bore me to tears, and it's quite a dull mission; also, I don't want to have to deal with Tracy!

If I had a preference on three missions, I'd easily take Brosnan's first three with GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World is not Enough. Action-packed to the extreme!!!!!

Haha. I picture you in OHMSS, with a stupid doily sticking out of your suit, holding an open hand up to Tracy's face to communicate that you want her to shut up.
    :))

With pleasure! Hahahaha, she would get on my last nerve! During that scene in the hotel room, when Bond grabs her wrist and takes the PPK back, I would have ended the trouble right then and there! BANG! Hahahaha.
  • Has to be Goldfinger. If for nothing else, then it would be so I could not dismiss Dink with a slap on the bum for "mantalk" - in fact I would ignore everyone else and carry on with the massage (although I may have to question Dink on her silly name first!)

Why not be Connery in Goldfinger, forget about the uninteresting and dull women, boring storyline and crazy villains, and just spend half the time sitting around looking Bored and do a little sporadic action here and there and rake in half a million dollars for it, sounds like easy money..

But for me, and I am sure others, it is about risk and adventure, not the money. It is not like spies do their jobs for money. If so, they really need to find a better source of income. Maybe that is why many sell secrets...

Don't you mean Jobs for Money?, unless of course James Bond is a stand up comedian..

Yes, sorry. That is odd. Sorry.

In all seriousness, a number of past Bonds did do jokes for money (sequences during their Bond tenure), the names have been held to protect the guilty..

Goldfinger and Thunderball. It's the two Bond-films I really get lost in the beautiful locations - and of course, the women!

Okay, I really can't put myself in this thread completely as I am a gal (and a hetero) and have no desire to bed the Bond babes - but just for the pure adventure, I would love to be Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye.
  • Hmm, difficult question to answer as I think that people should live vicariously through themselves and not fictional characters...buuuuut if I had to choose I would say TB would easily win out. Beautiful locations, nice tropical scuba diving and snorkeling, getting to fly the jet pack and drive the DB5, and probably the greatest collection of beautiful women in the series.

You could have always put which Bond girl you wanted to be.

I can't exactly decide which Bond film(s) I'd want to be Bond in. CR, probably (I'm good at Texas Hold 'Em). Maybe OHMSS or TSWLM (I've always wanted to ski). I'd want to stay the f*ck away from the tank chase (played too many games that have one). FRWL, LALD, TSWLM, or OP (for train scenes).

Yes, but being a Bond girl is a decidedly different role than being Bond! And I would love to act like Bond does (at times), to have that adventure. Bond girl - probably Natalya. But Bond adventure, I'll stick with TSWLM and GE.

That would be the right choice. Pick one Bond moment from each actor you wish you could be?

Connery - In Bed with Volpe
Lazenby - Seducing female patients at Piz Gloria
Moore - In Bed with Seymour
Dalton - At the Prater fair in Vienna
Brosnan - Driving towards the Ice Palace to rescue Jinx (then I could turn back and leave her to perish)
Craig - A Quick one with Camille Montes

FRWL: I would love to travel in the Orient Express, be friend of Kerim and be with Tania! The confrontation with Red Grant would be a real match but I'm confident I'll outfought him.

Connery, with Moore a close second.

I think I'd go with TB. The locations would just be lovely, the athmosphere would be irresistable, and what's a good stretch of the spine compared to the chance to shag Pat Fearing, Domino, and in particular, Volpe.

I'd pick one of the films with a happy ending and no torture...LALD or OP.

Dr. No comes to mind: Connery's confidence in the Casino, Sylvia, Miss Taro, Honey, the beaches of Jamaica...

That's about 99 per cent of them isn't it ?

Most Bond films come to a happy end don't they, only On Her Majestys Secret Service and Casino Royale stand out for me, I don't really understand the Torture thing either?

I'd quite happily have a happy ending in Live and Let Die and be tortured by Jane Seymour though...
