    Hoult is reportedly being considered for Lex Luthor in the new Superman film. That might take him out of consideration for the new Bond?

    I think there'll be a few actors that we're considering, that will either age out of the role or move onto other franchises. At the end of the day, you only get so many years as a leading man, can't wait around for the Bond role forever

    I said he'd make a good villain! I can see him now with no hair, lol.

    If Superman: Legacy is casting all young actor and becomes a hit, then you could see a young cast for Bond 26.

    Haha, brilliant artwork, and I think I have never seen such a crazy mix of franchises. Seven gives a strong Pussy Galore-vibe, but it is Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) who steals the show here. He IS Bond - move over, Speleers!

    Deuxmoi, a gossip insider (sometimes credible, but sometimes not), posted the rumour that actor Paul Forman is the producers' current favourite. Probably BS but I'm posting it for the archive because you never know.

    He was awful in that awful netflix show. Cheap soap opera kind of awful. Days of our lives kind of awful. Wooden, obnoxious,…
    But hey, he’s got Craig’s pouting seagull shaped lips, so that’s something. Cardboard Bond, I’d say. But anyone can surprise us.

    Well maybe it's time for a Cardboard Bond? We've had everything else. Ian Fleming once despairingly called James Bond a "cardboard booby" so that fits. ;)

    It’s a really interesting interview, so thanks for linking to it. I suspect Friend has missed his window, though.

    When he says that he had the meeting with EON and then 'declined', does he mean that he was offered the role and turned it down or that he withdrew from the process before it went any further? If it's the latter, he might still have a chance. If it's the former, well, Dalton's the only one who was asked again after a refusal, right?

    Presumably the latter. I doubt they'd skip any screen-tests.

    I suspect that's what 'declined' or 'turned down' the role means when it comes to the majority of these stories. You have actors like Adam West and Clint Eastwood 'being offered' and 'turning down' the role of Bond in the 70s despite them never having had auditions too. It makes more sense when viewed from the perspective that they had a meeting, were pitched the idea by producers, and didn't want to go any further with it.

    So the other day my grandmother saw something in her news feed of someone saying that Phil Dunster is their favorite for bond, I looked him up he's quite young at 31 and has mostly done british tv. He's got the look but how is he as an actor?

    Given the time That's passed between NTTD premiering and Bond 26 news, I wouldn't be shocked if Bond #7 was somewhat or an unknown or up and comer.

    Most actors suitable for the role that have experiences in big films, might age out by the time they come to select Bond #7.

    It would be weird having the guy who became known playing an incredibly stupid, himbo footballer from Manchester play Bond, but I guess strange things happen all the time. In a way it's a testament to his acting abilities that he can pull that ridiculous character off. I like his portrayal a lot. He's got fantastic comedic timing and aquits himself alright in the few dramatic moments he's given. The role is just so much the polar opposite of cool and suave Bond, it's hard to imagine. Plus, he's never starred in a film.

    Whilst he's not someone I've considered, without his 'Jamie Tartt voice I could see him as a candidate for the role.

    I’m not saying that someone needs to have a James Earl Jones baritone, just a voice that is commanding and confident ; Suter seems to possess one.
