    All three have Bond dealing with allies being carried on the other film:

    YOLT - Charles Grey as Dikko Henderson being carried on in DAF but as a villain in Blofeld.
    QoS - Giannini reprised his role as Mathis from CR only to end up being a villain.
    LALD is the OOO because the ally who returned was a son of Quarrel from Dr. No (Quarrel Jr.)

    Bond fights villains who wield bladed weapons.
    YOLT - driver with katana
    LALD - Baron Samedi with sword
    QOS - Greene with fire axe is OOO as Bond injures and ultimately incapacitates the villain with his own weapon.

    In LALD and QOS, Bond drives with someone seriously injured and dying in the car, but in YOLT Bond pretends to be the one injured in the back seat.

    Great guess @QBranch but not what I am looking for. I will say as a further hint in two of these occurrences Bond is indeed with someone in the vehicle.

    There is plane action in all of them and a plane is always destroyed. However, in LALD, the plane stays on the ground.

    Three Films involving a character wearing a lab coat:

    NTTD - Valdo Obruchev wearing a lab coat
    TLD - Koskov wearing a lab coat
    DAF - Bond wearing a lab coat

    NTTD is the OOO because Valdo Obruchev is a real scientist in that suit, the other two used the lab coats for disguise.
