    Well the answer I received either definitely confirmed/denied it with certainty, I just didn't appreciate whatsoever having something like that slip, whether it's true or false.

    The irony is that this "rumour" is written loud and clear on some French reviews of the trailers... (which is the topic of this thread !).

    I would want to caution everyone not to make assumptions that anyone who has posted is right, or how the overall movie and experience will be, based on a few trailers, clapperboards, and some creative thinking. Sooner or later, we're going to have people here venturing prejudicial negative opinions before they've even seen the film, which would be completely unfair to everyone involved in making the film.

    I'm not making any assumptions on the film based off what was spoiled today, nor am I letting it cloud my enjoyment of the movie. I just find it upsetting that there are ways to find out the twists and endings to films that are years in the making, in some way. No matter, I'm sure a lot more surprises will be coming my way, and it hasn't deterred my excitement level in the slightest.

    @SirHenryLeeChaChing Exactly, agreed 100%. Which is why I'm not making any assumptions, positive or negative, until I've seen it.
    I'll say "it looks great" or "it looks crap", but I won't say "it's gonna be great", or "it's gonna be crap", because I can't know for sure until I've seen it.

    Can someone type out all the lines Silva says to Bond while hes in the chair? I can't quite make it all out for some reason.

    Thanks, it's probably the editing of the trailer, and with it all kinda being taken out of context. I'm sure it flows better and will be easy to understand in the actual movie haha ;p I don't post on here often as you can see, but Ive been reading these forums since 2005 at least and I always check them for news when a new Bond movie is in production, I guess I'm taking this opportunity to say, "hey!" and the fact that I'm unbelievably excited for this movie and it just may even be better than Casino Royale, it's looking like a very good possibility from what we've seen so far!

    @MaidenDeth, why not join in more? Always nice to have avid Bond fans always hanging around.

    And yeah, I had a hard time deciphering it, too, until someone else cleared it up for me. I thought he said "Not when you're not ready, not when you would likely die," and it just didn't make sense to me at all.

    Just a thought here, if the new ppk is palm read do you think silva will wind up with it at some point and bond with his vintage duel pistol?

    outside of bloodstone mp and nightfire its been absent. it appeared on cr promo stuff and in a few scenes of qos yet failed to become the gun of choice in the game. now we are finally getting closer to its full on return.
    im interested to see if the dbs is used in a car chase as well but ppks return is quite interesting stuff.
    back to the point though do you think the palm reader will have to play a gag otherwise whats the point of its use?

    Naturally it will. There's no other reason for it. An alternative to someone else attempting to use the gun is for them to take the angle of using data that is relayed to Q signalling who/what/where Bond is killing people. This is more interesting as a plot device for me.

    ahhhhhhh so you think the gun will be a tracer device which allows Mallory(or whoever may turn out to be the main villain) insight into the location of bond and allow for his capture?

    Possiblly. I was thinking more of them keeping tabs on Bond. It was the line about being 'less of a rampant killing machine, more of a personal statement'. Just made me think of MI6 being more bureaucratic with Mallory around, wanting to keep an eye on what exactly their agents are doing.

    Well, some are still around, though posting a lot less. I think I saw Dubl'o yesturday (check out any thread about women, he's most likely to end there. Or start one about redhaired beauties ;) ) and St. George is still here of course. Kitty and Lala haven't returned yet, but they might when we get closer to the release date. Nick and Wade I haven't seen on the new boards at all sadly.. oh well.

    Well cut.
    I found parts of the music not so well chosen though, but this is just me. Like - lets not make the score too modern and I know, it was the same in the original trailer. But I am a great Arnold fan. Love his music.

    I loved this editing. The music looks very modern indeed, but Dubstep don't fit to Bond. I believe this soundtrack is from the trailer of LOOPER.

    If you want some pathetic entertainment, read the comments for the official trailer on Youtube. Apparently, Bond and Silva are twins, based solely off the trailer.

    I enjoyed the longer, theatrical trailer but it had less impact on me than the teaser. There's some cheesy dialogue present:

    * "Not like this. Not like him." She may have well have just said "he's a scary boy!"
    * "England - the Empire. MI6"
    * "Mummy, was very bad."

    I'm not as crazy about the music either in this version. Still, it's just a trailer not featuring Newman's music and the rest of the dialogue sounded good to me.

    The Not like this and Mummy quote live by the way they are said and how they do it, it does have an impact on me and I really like it .

    The lines are delivered pretty well but they still sound cheesy to me.

    I feel, your suggestion of "he is a scary boy" isn't half as good as the lines chosen. Yours is giving the idea in one short sentence. Making two lines of it and giving us something to wonder about is way better IMO
