I think Thomas Doherty would be more mature then.

Even if not actively developing the next incarnation, no doubt the powers that be at EoN are keeping an eye on , or out for, potential candidates ; they have from the very beginning of the franchise.

I've been reading up on a lot of the Hollywood Golden Age stars in recent weeks and this very same thought occurred to me.

Like Connery and Moore, they were both strongly identified with their upper-class urbane image (despite coming from working-class backgrounds), with Gable having a bit more of a macho edge to him compared to Grant, who was the ultimate gentleman with more farcical inclinations.

All it means is that enough people have been convinced by the press’s bull**** that ATJ is the new Bond that the bookies are becoming nervous that they won’t be able to handle a payout if it turns out to be true. There is no reason to panic if ATJ isn’t your pick for 007.

Probably not unfortunately.

I think we'll get official word of a pre-production/director, and then a casting process. Then rumours upon rumours until an official actor. But you can't have a Bond actor without the project being officially announced (at least from what I understand. Take with a grain of salt/feel free to mock in hindsight if this isn't true).
