One of the best 7/10 games I have played in a while, had a blast! A great Robocop game and really works as a continuation from Robocop 2.
Very much looking forward to trying this one out! Looks like a blast, albeit one I'd rather pay $20 for. I've been waiting for the Black Friday sale to check out this, that Avatar tie-in game, and some others.
I paid £25 from the PS Store for it, took me around 20 hours to fully do all the main missions and side quests for the platinum trophy. It is a one and done game really, so I think that price is fair.
I tried the Avatar free trial and whilst it looks very pretty, it is just Far Cry: Avatar Edition, it didnt hook me in a way that would compel me to buy it and continue.
That's not bad at all. I've seen it drop to about $30 at its lowest on the PS Store, but if it hits $20-25 max at any point, it's mine.
Ahh, I had a feeling it might be akin to Far Cry on the world of Pandora, which I probably won't like, so thanks for that. FC6 was more than enough for me to be fully checked out of that universe.
Every Far Cry game since FC3 has had an escape from the bad guy's lair as its opening level.
Avatar is no different.

I am a big fan of the series I have several of the Wolfenstein games on Xbox , I did play Wolfenstein on PS" though forget which game it was that long ago.
Edited:not played Blood Stone since Christmas Day and the level I was on was the Aston Martin car chase, totally forgot how to drive lol its fun.
Honestly the game was perfect and yes I know netherrealm wanted to push past 1 and give us 2 on mobile phones but did anyone play it?

PoP 3D, from 1999, was the only Prince of Persia game from the main series that I hadn't played around the time of release, as it was only available on PC, then ported to Dreamcast, while I've been a Mac (PoP, PoP 2), Nintendo GameCube (SoT, WW, T2T), Sony PS3 (2008 reboot, FS) and PS4 (TLC) user. As this year's TLC was mostly a blast, even with the three or four hours it took me to master "the impossible climb" (a very short acrobatic side quest that's needed to unlock at least two trophies), I decided to fill the hole.
I couldn't find a way to make it run under Wine on Mac, and it looks like few people succeed on actual Windows, given that the game was full of bugs, wasn't supported long after release and doesn't have a wide or dedicated following these days. However, there's the nearly identical port on Dreamcast, Arabian Nights: Prince of Persia which did the trick.
It took me something like 15 hours, and the help of some cheat mode, but I finished it, leaving me with a complete feeling of emptiness that can only be matched by watching Johnny Depp in Transcendence. It's a bad ripoff of early Tomb Raider, with clumsy controls, cheap 3D models and a total lack of creativity, which is usually the hallmark of the entire series. Not surprisingly, Jordan Mechner, who had developed or overseen the first two games, then became the head writer on The Sands of Time, was only involved as consultant for writing, probably making a couple of suggestions and taking the checkie.
He wasn't able to remove some out of place elements such as the dirigible, but the only remarkable thing after all is how much the whole thing feels rote and uninspired. The only bright note is the music, which actually sounds both modern and relevant to what was supposed to be a One Thousand and One Nights tale.
Without The Sands of Time, it could have been a lackluster ending to what was a legendary series of the 90s. And with the DLC for The Lost Crown coming next week, it won't fortunately be my last exposure to the franchise for a while.
As a side note about The Sands of Time (a remake is supposedly coming next year), it was a huge influence over early Assassin's Creed (I, II, Brotherhood), as they shared the same director and AC started out as a concept for a sequel, before they moved the whole thing to an open world. It's interesting how much the acrobatic climbing in temples and palaces to open secret sections was important in those early games.

DLC was also full, amazing, and beautiful, just like the main game. Really felt like more of a good thing, and there were many additions to the lore of the world as well that made the additional content feel essential.
Welcome back! If you're picking one to get totally lost in and sink hundreds of hours into, ER is certainly an impeccable choice.
It's wild just how much you can "break" the game by using the basic tools and whatnot they give you to play with. It was definitely one of the more in-depth RPGs I've played when trying to accomplish everything on offer and get the Platinum Trophy. I did get it but always wished I could've done those DLC trophies, but it was a night and day different experience from the base game, a sort of roguelike that was too much for my tastes.
Just realized I am playing the older game from what you posted, Xbox has the newer game on sale so buying it now.
That one's my personal favorite! Loved all the Native tradition and backstory to it, the respawn system, the look of the ship, all of it. Even the multiplayer was a blast at the time. Hell, I still remember being at work and stopping by GameStop the day it released to pick up my pre-order.
If you end up loving the new version, you have to try the recent remaster of System Shock. It came out in May and I've still wanted to return to play it after two full playthroughs and the Platinum. It plays a lot like Prey, fully detailed environments with lots of hidden places to explore and things to find. It's so intricate and rewarding.
The older Prey stands up very well, until you mentioned it I forgot about the 2017 game.
I ended up buying a load of DLC content for three of the Fallout games also while on offer, one is to build my own vault in Fallout 4 which sounds fun..
I will have a look at System Shock, any game that is similar to Half Life or this older Prey I am on board.
The Fallout 4 DLCs can be hit or miss depending on what you're after. A few of them are mostly cosmetic, adding new additions to the base-building and whatnot, which was a feature I only ever used when missions or trophies required it. A couple of them though are more fleshed out story DLCs which are nice. Regardless, you can pick them all up for dirt cheap nowadays, especially on sale, so they're all worth a look. I want to revisit it now that the PS5 version is available and free but I have such an insane backlog and have spent too much time on remasters and the like lately.
Please do give it a go! I know of no one else who has bothered playing it so I'd love to discuss it with someone.
As for myself, I'm still working through the Platinum for RDR2. Finally completed the story for the first time a week or two ago, got all the multiplayer trophies unlocked, and am now working through these challenges.
I bought the first Prey game a few years back and started playing it though totally forgot about it, I have that many games now there are loads of titles not displayed on my home screen. I need to remind myself to check my full game listing.
There is at least a ten year period where I almost did no gaming probably longer, so there are many great games out there that I missed and oblivious to.
Prey 2017 is ready to play so will check it out now.
Yeah I tend to gravitate to Fallout DLC's that are playable levels rather than cosmetic bonus stuff, though I did purchase Couriers stash DLC on New Vegas extra weapons etc. I am doing terrible on New Vegas compared to Fallout 3 and 4, every time I play New Vegas I get killed very easily I am always under powered vs most opposition, hopefully the DLC will help.
Good stuff there! I don't know what happened or why I didn't but I quit New Vegas shortly after I beat it and never got to play any of the DLCs. Don't think I cared for that one the same way the broader fanbase did. I however love Fallout 3 and all its DLC packs. Mothership Zeta was especially good fun (though I recall it being very easy to get lost on the spaceship), while Point Lookout is still one of my all-time favorite DLCs.
I got pretty engrossed in Prey 2017, thankfully I have the glue gun now as a lot of mimics were showing up. Cool idea for a game and visually looks great, I am still not completely sure what is going. Prey 2017 does have a Portal 2 vibe which I like.
I played a bit of New Vegas after with a better DLC arsenal though I was in the middle of nowhere when I got the DLC so took ages to walk back totally encumbered lol Then I played some Fallout 4 which I think I prefer as its a more dense City, New Vegas so far is too much open space for me.
We are still waiting on Fallout 3 remaster, I have not heard anything about it for some time?
Mothership Zeta was a blast one of the best sections in the game, it was a pleasant surprise when i stumbled on the crash site/portal.
