A question I've just realized, is Bond left handed or right handed? I mean in every things that he does?

It's been a while since I've read the novels, but I don't remember if Fleming stated this, and in the films, it seems like he can do both?

We saw that most prominently in TND. I wouldn't mind seeing more left-handed shooting in future.

Bond in Fleming's novels carries his gun under his left shoulder and a knife strapped to his left forearm (as per SMERSH's dossier in FRWL). When he switches to a hip holster, he gets one next to his right hip, which keeps that consistent. That would imply him being right-handed. Similarly, in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond carries his watch on his left hand.

If we also go by that metric, I believe all 6 film James Bonds were right handed as none of them wear a watch on their right wrist. I don't know if that's solid though as there's a chance a left-handed spy would wear a watch on the wrong hand to not draw attention to themselves.

By the holster metric (quite a bit more solid) all six are also right handed.

And let's not forget that, if he was ambidextrous, he'd be struggling to differentiate his right from his left.

    Where did Oddjob go?

I was watching Goldfinger recently and something struck me, that I hadn't considered before. After Mr. Solo has been smooshed in the Lincoln Continental and placed in the pick up, driven away by Oddjob, we see Oddjob (presumably) driving back to Auric stud pass Felix and Ambush driving in the opposite direction, realising the homer is no longer working.
Felix say's to drive to the farm it's all we can do.
We next see Goldfinger and Pussy talking about Operation Grand Slam, when Kisch alerts Goldfinger of two men with binoculars. This turns out to be Felix and the appalling named character Ambush.
Upon learning this Goldfinger suggests Pussy change into something more suitable and Bond be summoned to him, so it appears Bond is in no danger.
We then have Bond arrive, have a drink with Auric and explain why Operation Grandshlam shimply won't work. After Bond has the actual plan explained to him, Pussy re-appears looking more casual than before. It's then that Oddjob turns up in the pick up with the squished car in the back that Goldfinger needs to separate his gold from.

So between leaving the junk yard and returning to Auric stud, where did Oddjob go?
How did Felix and Ambush arrive at the stud farm way before Oddjob? Especially if they were (presumably) travelling in the opposite direction when they past Oddjob earlier.

I'm guessing it wasn't drive thru.

'Welcome to KFC, what can I get you?'

    'AHHH AHHH.'

There is a deleted scene of OddJob heading to a cat adoption center. He applies to get a cat, but once it is revealed he wants it for dinner, he is denied. He leaves with Solo and returns to the farm. LOL!

I always remember that from the book that OddJob fancied cats. Or am I imagining it?

To think he didn't speak, how the cat adoption center knew that he wanted those for food? Unless he said it.

I'm not sure in the book, sure he did ate cats, but I don't know if he fancied them, it's just
Goldfinger's cat dies that he gave it to him only for him to eat.

after Bond and Melina escape the rope tie in the water and go back on her ship. Bond and her pretty much give up on finding out where Kristatos is going. Why? He couldn't be far after they escape the water. They even saw his boat leave as they were getting out of the water. He couldn't have gotten far. They could have easily gotten out of the water and call the Greek coast guard to go after him.

FYEO has a lot of flaws in terms of characters motivations or maybe narratives, so this one's not surprising, like why Bond didn't allowed Melina to participate in his mission and preventing her from killing even though she had killed a man at the beginning of the film? And in the whole film that they've been finding the ATAC machine and Bond had risked his life for it, at the end, he had thrown it away? Why Kristatos and his men went to Monastery just to hide, if they could just went straight to Bibi Dahl's training place so Bond and Columbo's men couldn't easily break into bust because they're more protected in such a place compared to the Monastery and where they're many places they could go? Why Bond went straight to skiing after his encounter with Kristatos when he could've gone anywhere?

So, this plot point, just like the others I've mentioned above and probably there were many other flaws in the film, is just as irrational.

It's one of my issues with FYEO, really.

I don't know if this question has already been asked in this thread.

Some time ago I made a post about the locations of "Goldfinger" (1964) and I realized something that to this day I don't understand. Why does Pussy Galore's plane arrive in the USA through the Baltimore airport, in the state of Maryland, if Auric Goldfinger's riding farm is in Lexington, in the state of Kentucky? Both cities are hours apart.

    :-?

Sure they could have contacted the Greece coast guard, but what law had he broken? It would be an embarrassment to the British government to have to publicly admit that the Russians had taken their prized ATAC system.

@SIS_HQ I always thought Bond was attempting to stop Melina from becoming him. He saw in her the innocence of youth and was trying to prevent her from becoming a revenge seeking person. At the end of the film Bond was left with few options. Gogol was a few feet from him. He couldn't run, he couldn't hide. The best solution given the situation was to destroy it so that neither had it, or the Russians didn't get it. Kristatos did not go to hide, he chose that place as it was familiar to him and he wanted to be present for the exchange. He didn't trust the Russians totally. Erich did offer to take the ATAC and come back with the money and Kristatos shot that down real quick. They could have gone to Cuba but would that had made sense given they were in Europe? Bond didn't go skiing after meeting Kristatos, he continued to work the case with Lugi and then had to deal with an attack on him and Melina. He went back to the hotel and found Bibi. Took her out for an ice cream, which became a ski. He was gently pumping her for info. Remember he was under the impression that Columbo was the one hired by the Russians.

What is the more correct name : pretitle(s), pre-title(s), precredit(s), pre-credit(s) [sequence], or another word? What one do you use?

(Besides do we say a document of 128 page ou 128 pageS)?

I prefer 'pre-title sequence', and not 'pre-credit sequence' because there are also credits at the end of the film and 'pre-credit sequence' could mean you are talking about the long sequence which is the main story!

I'm with @QBranch on the pre-title sequence. As for your question in parentheses, it's a document of 128 pageS, but a 128-page document (no plural-s here).

I don't think it's hiding, more like keeping a low profile living out his days in paradise. I do wonder how he was able to afford his lifestyle but that's another question.

Since it came up in another thread, I am going to ask it here and see what others think.

Who are the men who attack Bond in Saida's dressing room in TMWTGG? Why do they attack him?

There were men watching Bond in the bar, those the are same men who had killed Fairbanks, Saida was the woman who had been with Fairbanks when he's killed so when Bond arrived in her room, their intuitions sparked, knowing what happened with Fairbanks and the MI6 might take an action on it by sending a replacement agent to finish the mission, and the first place where the replacement could possibly go would be in that club to investigate, those men returned there.

Fairbanks was the agent sent to retrieve the Solex Agitator, if my memory serves?

Would've been better had it's been explained more further in the film, but that's just my thought.

The thing is, could they be Scaramanga's men or Hai Fat's men?

Anyway my question about TMWTGG: why Scaramanga specifically targeted Bond for assassination? Had he done it with the other 00 agents before?

Also it’s clearly mentioned earlier in the film that Scaramanga killed Bill Fairbanks

No. There were thugs in the employ of the night club owner who didn't want anyone to mess with his mistress, Saida. He sent them to Saida's dressing room to tell that british interloper a lesson, but Bond did the teaching here. The nightclub owner had no connection to either Hai Phat or Scaramanga.

That's the conclusion I've come to as well. I think it's the only sane one to be arrived at. The script called for a fight scene and this provided it.
