Let's all be cool and welcoming here.
I just gained more respect for them both. They're right. Those movies deserved some big screen love.
Netfilx paid them (VERY) well. It's too late to regret.
Yeah, I can understand Craig and Johnson being annoyed. The second one could have done well potentially with a significant theatrical release and then released onto Netflix. To be honest the second wasn’t really on my radar when it came out, and I’d definitely have watched it sooner if there had been a bigger theatrical release. So yeah, Craig might be right. The business model is a bit f*cked.
The irony to their "model" is that they're leaving millions on the table when they don't open theatrical windows for crowd pleasers, like the Knives Out series, and yet, they keep raising their monthly subscription prices.
So, yes, I think Craig is right on several levels, this "model" is f*cked.
I don't go to the Cinema as often as I used to, but I would have liked to have seen 'Glass Onion' on the big screen. It's very entertaining, and more cinematic than the first one!
It's been on my list since its release, but I just haven't got around to watching it yet. Might have to give the first one a watch again too!
