Despite owning all the films I still have only watched the first three in the series, the first film is my favorite from what I have seen.

I preferred the 2nd one 'The Bourne Supremacy' .
The car chase finale is phenomenal!

Yeah, Bourne is more human in this one.

Said it before, but The Bourne Identity is a standalone in my house. No Doug Liman, no Bourne, etc. Matt Damon recently joked that when Liman and Tom Cruise go up to film their movie on the International Space Station, he's going to tag along and he and Liman are going to make Bourne In Space during Tom's downtime! When asked, seriously, if he'd make another Bourne film with Doug directing, Damon said 'Yeah, I've always been open to it.' Pretty sure that's not true, tbh. After all, when Universal said they'd never let Liman direct any Bourne sequels under any circumstances, Damon could've just refused to make any sequels unless Doug directed. It'll be interesting to see what happens with, and after, The Instigators.

I want to lend some support to The Bourne Legacy. Renner does a pretty good job in that one. It's a quieter film, but it's got a good atmosphere, some tense moments and beautiful photography. I wouldn't call it a failure.

I like it more as stand-alone movie.

I love all three of the Bourne originals and I do enjoy The Bourne Legacy too.

The only real dud was the last one. Well made, but dramatically inert and had some strange character work.

Yeah, the idea that Bourne's dad created Treadstone and he joined it to avenge his pa was just...nah.
