I understand that the DB12 is closer to the DB III or DB5 of Goldfinger in terms of purpose or whatever, but the new Vanquish seems more like a Bond car to celebrate.

Maybe the Vanquish will have the Thunderball 60th "Jet pack" version next year ?

    Which looks better ?

So we’ve had OMHSS, TLD and now GF special editions of AMs so far; are there any more? I think you could get the old DBS in Quantum grey which sort of counts I guess.

Aston will be making more Bond "specials" no doubt.........They love the franchise

Driving the NEW Aston Martin Vanquish (Twin-turbo V12!)

The Astons these days have too much carbon fibre, the front grille is too big and the headlights are a odd shape
They might have problems selling them ?

Well, these big grilles have been doing quite good, so I don't see an end to it anytime soon. Personally, tha later DB9 is by far the most beautiful car they ever built. But hey, it's progress. same for the carbon. Nice video, and, very nice soundtrack to this car.

I think the 'face' of this new batch of Astons looks great, they've really nailed it. The Vanquish does look a little too similar to the Vantage though for my liking: they even use the same lights, which I'm not sure they've done before across two models.

Hahahaha fantastic! This is utterly insane, but I love it, can't help myself. If the owner starts smuggling gold with it, I'd be really impressed.

I posted that in the Goldfinger 60th thread. The official video is a little nicer.

I love the homer in the boot, nice touch.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage with 7.0litre conversion review

Aston should be making more cars like this with a more spacious interior which would appeal to a wider range of customers.

Actual customer research for those who can afford Astons shows the automaker knows what it's doing.

When they were making that car they were going bankrupt every other week.

Mind you, they probably still are, seems to be their business model.

Yeah so many car companies all over the world have gone bankrupt over the years haven't they ?
    It's a shame.

Aston have signed the best F1 car designer ever Adrian Newey recently so they might be F1 champions in the future.

I do like the design of the Mazda, but that's where it ends for me. These cars are too much computer, not much car. I know, it's the future, but still. Went on a drift course the other day (they use BMW 2 series). You don't want to know how much you have to turn off before you can have some fun. It did improve my driving though, can reccommend it!

Zandvoort. The circuit has an expert driving school next to it.

Zandvoort is the F1 track. How is the banking there, steep ?

The old Zandvoort used to be a longer track.

It's used for F1, yes, but they have plenty of other races and the circuit was used for those many years before F1 landed there. The driving school is actually not on the circuit, sadly. But the banking is quite steep indeed, in several corners.

Well this is wonderful, I've not heard of this before, but this guy has built Bond's Bentley from the books. And I mean literally built it: the car as Fleming described never existed, so this car has been been designed to match 007's car with a bespoke body and interior.

Re @007InAction's "Petrol Killer" movie link:

Now that we have our own PV panels on our roof, I'm actually considering buying an Ioniq 5, as it's IMO the best looking and one of the most long-range models out there - however, it will definitely not be the "N" version. The standard RWD with an 84 kWh battery is fast enough and sufficient for daily use. It also has a considerably (> 25 %) greater range than the "N", and also more than other AWD versions (which have the same battery). Plus, I'm not going to spend EUR 75k for a car. And I think having 609 HP on your daily car is idiotic, as I'm sure that a general speed limit of 130 km/h will finally come to Germany within a very short time. But to each his own.

We'll see where it goes. I love the current cars they have and was very dissapointed when I heard they were cancelling the full line-up. I don't see how that's economically a good idea. But we'll see. The commercial doesn't do anything for me though. That kind of 'boldness'really is last year's thing.
