  • De Ligt and Maguire have been world class so far, so fair play to them but if we were any good we would have scored 3 by now.

Odegaard perhaps encapsulates why paternity leave is a thing. He seems to be completely exhausted and nothing he tries is working, always hitting the first man etc. Feel bad for him but without him and Saka we'd be more useless than we currently are.

Saka does cut through teams at will he is a big loss.

What ever happens Amorim is making us tougher to beat so there is progress, United have had a soft underbelly for a long time.

    Good opportunity to United.

  • Almost forgot United had 10 men, the FA cup graphic really doesn't make it obvious and to be honest neither do we.

On a knife edge, anyone could win this.

Wooooooooooooo!!!!!! Get in, perfect penalties from United. This team is only going to get stronger, come on massive win.
  • I haven't been this disappointed in Arsenal since the 20-21 season. Really got the feeling we've regressed this season. That's 3 important games we haven't won, and 3 games that killed our hopes in 3 different competitions

I am surprised how different you are this season, the free flowing attacking football has vanished.

I am surprised how different you are this season, the free flowing attacking football has vanished.

Since Xhaka left the free-flowing football stopped. Losing 4-1 to City in 22-23 scared Arteta into driving for more and more control. First half of 23-24 we were poor but lucky, and second half we seemed to take it up to another level with beating down on the small teams like City did, helped build a run.

This season, we've tried for even more control with Merino (who has been useless unfortunately), which hurt us even more when Odegaard was out. The lack of creativity means that Martinelli and Trossard have both been poor, and Havertz drifts over causing him to go dry. Despite being our top scorer I don't think Havertz ever scores our first in games.

Set pieces were helpful for a bit but we've gone dry for a while now. Without Saka, right-sided deliver is poor.

A bit late due to a stressful week, but here is the gameweek 19 and 20 update! Both gameweeks were among the highest scoring gameweeks of the season so far, with average scores of 66 and 60 points respectively. As usual, many managers in our league managed great scores, best of which in gameweek 19 was JuncoPartner, scoring 94 points, and Liverpool Richmond in gameweek 20, scoring 82 points. Congratulations both! =D>

Remember we have another deadline on Tuesday, at 18:00 UK time!
    _______

It's clear we can only write off this season for Arsenal. They've been struggling for a long time, and all the injuries really just highlights the fact that the squad isn't good enough. What @Reflsin2bourbons mentions re. Xhaka is also very true. There's something missing from this team ever since he left.

I don't think we will see this Arsenal team win any trophies anytime soon, and you have to question Arteta too; I'm really not sure he is the one that can take Arsenal to another level – if anybody can at all.

Phew, going with Palmer instead of Salah for captain duties certainly paid off!

Here's a quick look at gameweek 21 before the deadline in just a few minutes! With an average of 55 points, this was a pretty average gameweek points wise, but we saw some huge variances in points, where a few players scored really big for owners. One of the managers that scored big this gameweek was You Only Live Rice, who finished the gameweek with 9g points. Congratulations! =D>

Made two transfers, I think it's the first time this season I have put thought into my moves in the market 😂

Still thinking about my transfers, and I'm really not sure what to do. Might be anything from no transfers, a single transfer or a -8!

Edit: One transfer in the end. Didn't want to gamble on my bench cover, so I made one transfer to be sure. It could make things difficult in the upcoming gameweeks as far as funds go, but let's see.

I put the armband on Chris Wood - very in-form, playing against the worst PL team since Derby County (Soton).

It was close between Salah, Isak and Wood for the armband for me. Went with Salah in the end, but I won't be surprised if the other two outscore him!

I was tempted to sort out my team with making additional transfers too. Maybe next week!

    _________

Here are the gameweek 22 captaincy picks!
    Salah: 8
    Isak: 4
    Palmer: 2
    Mitoma: 1
    Maddison: 1
    Wood: 1

In form Isak is to nobody's surprise a popular pick for the armband this gameweek, but Salah is the most captained player, backed by eight managers. Palmer is the only other player, other than Salah and Isak, captained by more than one manager. Good luck everyone!

It's a really good fixture for Isak too, so it will be interesting to see which captaincy pick delivers the most points!

Amorim gets my full support, he did not want the job until the summer, INEOS said now or never. It's on the board they need to back him they knew his system they knew the type of manager he was, Amorim will achieve great things but must be supported.

Amorim in that press conference was having a go at the media with his comments about worst United side.

    ---
I won't check my FPL points until tomorrow as I fear it's been a disaster 😂 I need Palmer and Jackson to save my GW.

I am starting to wonder if INEOS have bitten off more than they can chew.

The recruitment from the club has been poor for a long time now that's for sure.

INEOS are clueless, they gave TH a extension then sack him months later, big payout....
    More money down the drain.

Ashworth appointed ,5 months later sacked.....
