That's lovely isn't it. May I ask where you bought it from? I know we're in different countries but I'm not sure where's best to get them.

Not an official Bond release, but if the 1/8 partwork/ready made DB5's are too big, and the AutoArt is too expensive, sometime this year Norev comes to the rescue with a 1/12 DB5, priced approx. €130,-. A friend sent a picture, will see if I can host it later.

There seems to be an influx of unofficial models from movies and TV shows, with scale model manufacturers settling for the same spec and licence plates, but without any official mention on packaging or advertising. Saves a fair deal of money. So far, I've added the following unofficial Bond cars to my personal collection:

Aston Martin DBS Vantage - On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Mercedes-Benz 280SE - Octopussy. Repainted the interior, currently trying to find russian decals for the boot lid and measuring a piece of railway to display it on.
Alfa Romeo GTV6 - Octopussy. Just needs sime high-quality print number plates.
BMW 750iL - Tomorrow Never Dies. Save for the facelift headlights it's screen accurate.
Jaguar X-C75 - Spectre. Same as the Alfa, just needs Rome licence plate on the rear.

Porsche Cayenne Turbo - Everything Or Nothing. the similaties pretty much end at the colour and model, but I figured I could try my hand at installing some gadgets.

Studebaker Avanti - Ian Fleming's personal car. Needs number plates and a few details changed.

If anyone knows of any more Bond cars hiding in plain sight, please do share :)

I bought mine from a distributor here in Singapore that brings in Mini GT models, so I simply pre-ordered from him when he announced that they were bringing it in.

There are various UK retailers distributing Mini GT models. Maybe you can try The Modelstore or Diecast Model Centre. These are the ones that I know of.

I really want the Lotuses if I can.

Sheeesh I'll probably end up getting all the releases. I already have the Thunderball DB5 as well which is basically the same as the Goldfinger just without the gadgets showing. Have yet to open that one up.

    I've already pre-ordered the BMW 750 too.

Yes I saw some places have the BM and Spectre Jag, but already sold out where I can find them! Got to keep my eyes open more and check when they get announced, it’s hard to know!

Now that looks very nice. I seem to have a bit of an accidental TND-themed collection going on so I guess I need it...

Seems like Aliexpress isn't a bad place to get MiniGT models in fact. Well, I've ordered one from there, let's see! :D

Yeah, there's heaps for sale from China on eBay. And some in different colours. I'll wait for a bit. AliExpress is a good alternative, I buy from there occasionally. Particularly keen to add the 750iL and Hinx Jag. Were all the others seen here already released by other brands in 1:64? Is it just the TND BMW and orange Jag new to that size?

Well if their original promo graphic is anything to go by, the list they're planning is:

    AMC Hornet
    Aston DB5 (GF)
    Aston DB5 (NTTD)
    Aston DBS (OHMSS)
    Aston V8
    Aston Vanquish
    Aston DBS (CR)
    Aston DBS (QoS)
    Aston DB10
    Aston DBS Superleggera (NTTD)
    BMW Z3
    BMW 750i
    BMW Z8
    Citroen 2CV
    Ford Mustang (GF)
    Ford Mustang (DAF)
    Jaguar XKR
    Jaguar CX75
    Land Rover Defender (SP)
    Lotus Esprit S1
    Lotus Esprit S1 submarine
    Lotus Turbo Esprit (white)
    Lotus Turbo Esprit (red)
    Toyota 2000GT
    Tuk tuk

And they released some prototype pics last year, so hopefully they're still on the table. The DAD Jag shown above is obviously still in prototype stage so presumably they're still working on them and there's more to come.

That's a nice list. Looking forward to the OHMSS DBS, Superleggera, Defender, Toyota. Would love to see any scale model of the NTTD blue Land Rover.

Yeah agreed, that would be nice. It was quite a subtly updated old model, with newer wheelarches etc.

Yes I saw one of those Corgi DB5s at the Burlington Arcade 007 shop, it was very nice.

Still, misses the tyre slashers which were on the original model. But still, indeed, nice car. And so is the Batmobile. I'm almost tempted to buy that one.

Definitely interested in the DBS - it makes me sad that I don't have a Lazenby car in my collection.

On a non-Bond note, I'm a big fan of Citroens so I might treat myself to that 'Ski Club' Safari Corgi's bringing out.

I acquired a couple of 1:76 Oxford Diecast minis recently: this suspiciously familiar Jag:

And the Bentley Mk VI Bond acquires at the end of MR, the novel (as close as I could get to the description of silver car, blue interior):

Nice! There was a nice model of Bond’s Bentley released as a tie in with Devil May Care, probably very tricky to find though.
