    Thanks for giving me some theories to ponder. Interesting thoughts and in some cases, totally new things to consider.

    This next one was submitted by @SIS_HQ who wonders the following:

    After the torture from LeChiffre in CR how is Bond able to father a child in NTTD?

    As we know Bond is struck multiple times in the...ahem...groin area. One would think that some damage would be sustained, yet 15 years later he's able to father a child? What is our theory for how this was possible?

    There's that. And from what I understand, complete infertility is fairly rare: men with low sperm count can still impregnate a woman, men who lost a testicle to cancer can still have a high sperm count, etc.

    He didn't, Mathilde was Logan Ash's child. The whole plot was a ruse by Madeline to get Bond to kill himself.

    I think Bond would've still killed himself even without Mathilde as he still loved Madeleine, he didn't allowed Safin to have her.

    All I will say is that the human body has a remarkable capacity to repair itself. Bond is also somewhat superhuman and virtually indestructible (until the NTTD finale anyway) and this has been the case since the original Fleming Bond novels onwards.

    That scene was great as it was partly inspired by Colonel Sun, my favourite Bond continuation bar none. That's one reason why I like Spectre more than most.

    This conversation has added another dimension to the scene though. I'm not sure that I can bear the mental image created! These eyes have already seen too much. 8-X
