This next one was submitted by @SIS_HQ who wonders the following:
After the torture from LeChiffre in CR how is Bond able to father a child in NTTD?
As we know Bond is struck multiple times in the...ahem...groin area. One would think that some damage would be sustained, yet 15 years later he's able to father a child? What is our theory for how this was possible?
And yet, it flies.
Jaws has jaws of steel.
Bond, well, he has balls of steel; scratching them doesn't change a thing. Also, we know that Bond shoots very well...
Perfect answer :))
We aim to please.
That's right :)
There's that. And from what I understand, complete infertility is fairly rare: men with low sperm count can still impregnate a woman, men who lost a testicle to cancer can still have a high sperm count, etc.
I never thought we'd be reading that in this (or any) thread, but I certainly appreciate the information. ;-)
He didn't, Mathilde was Logan Ash's child. The whole plot was a ruse by Madeline to get Bond to kill himself.
I think Bond would've still killed himself even without Mathilde as he still loved Madeleine, he didn't allowed Safin to have her.
Scientifically speaking, I mean.
Just scratching
the surface of a complicated question, as I don't think thay seeded the idea of a child just jet in CR. If it was there, it'd be an an embrionic state.
The truth is:
I don't think Bond actually goes through with the donation. Rather he goes through the rigmarole to meet the head to the bank, and then asks her to be his "stimulation." Then he chickens out.
Believe that would be a deposit.
Ah, I see. It's been so long since I last read it so I knew I'd probably forgotten the precise details.
I imagine it went like this. ;-)
I will leave now...
:))
Un-loaded, surely?
:)) That post made my morning.
That scene was great as it was partly inspired by Colonel Sun, my favourite Bond continuation bar none. That's one reason why I like Spectre more than most.
This conversation has added another dimension to the scene though. I'm not sure that I can bear the mental image created! These eyes have already seen too much. 8-X
Significantly more difficult to get a withdrawal from where he put it though...
He charges a million per shot
