He's as eccentric as any of them are, but not really massively. I saw him play the Doctor live in London at the end of last year, that was good fun.

Generally, his Doctor is the most Zen-like of all of them (whereas I think Davison's is possibly the most neurotic). I'm thinking more of the outlier audio productions where he's allowed to cut loose and be really zany, like Zagreus, Caerdroia, and some of the Time War stories.

I would love to see McGann playing the Doctor live. That must've been a treat.

McGann's performance in The Night of The Doctor short is better than the entire run of a few actors who played the Doctor.

    Agreed. He's terrific in it.

Brosnan in Remington Steele does remind me a little of Davison, from what I've seen (I haven't actually seen much of either show).

I wonder if Craig could've done it. Benoit Blanc is a rather eccentric and quirky character.

Interesting thought, I can’t quite imagine it but yeah, I’m sure he could.

Yeah it was loads of fun, they made a Big Finish story live on stage. He did it in costume of course.

If Doctor Who had never been taken off air in 1989, the 8th Doctor era begins in 1991...

He would have made a brilliant Doctor, i'm sure. A fine actor, respected, with a wonderfully eccentric character.

All four main actors from Withnail and I would have been great Doctors.

Paul McGann, Richard E Grant and Richard Griffiths. Who ( :-bd ) am I forgetting?

Ralph Brown who also appeared in Alien3 with Paul McGann.

Ah, I wouldn't have thought of him to be honest. I wasn't sure if the 4th person was Michael Elphick, but everything I have seen him in, he's been a nasty piece of work, so not very Doctor-ish.

    Good episode tonight.

Yes it was ace! Really enjoyed that. I'm not going to say it was one of the best eps ever or anything, but I was completely entertained and left satisfied.

Also, to my surprise, some of my artwork was in it! I've been in Doctor Who!

Indeed, a great episode, with a lot happening. Loved the "Meta" scene, BTW. And one thing : I don't know who made the animation, but after watching "The Savages", I think they would be a better fit for future animations that what we got in that episode (especially regarding Nanina's face).

I think the folk who animated that episode are probably much more expensive than the ones doing the Blu Rays! :)

Anyway, here you go: about ten years back I designed this poster for the BBC and they used to sell it as official merch- and last night I spotted it over the actual Doctor's shoulder!

Nice image harking back to a good period of Doctor Who, congratulations on it appearing in the show.

Regarding the episode I have nothing to say.
