That's quite a description! :)) It's not quite Ian Fleming or Raymond Chandler, is it? I've never read the books but the film and I suppose the TV series gave me the impression of him being idealised.
I think the hero/antihero debate deserves its own thread.
On a side note, the most typical modern antihero imo would be Peter Venkman. Maybe not the other Ghostbusters, but him definitely. He's little more than a crook.
I agree, it’s a very interesting topic, and open to a great deal of discussion
I wasn’t really keen on him until I saw The Gentlemen. I thought his energy would be more like Brosnan or Cavil, which would bore me to death but frequently throughout that show he reminded me of Timothy Dalton but with a bit more of a contemporary cool-factor/sex appeal
I think Theo James would be a great choice personally, he's on a Range Rover advert that's on all the time in the UK.
My only reservation with Theo James is what does he look like without his beard/heavy stubble?
I’m curious, are you not a fan?
Why? EON is no longer there to reject them.
But none of them were officially connected to EoN; some are still viable, many are aging out and new candidates are emerging.
To this point it’s all fan speculation
Not really. I meant Pascal & Heyman might fish for Bond 7 in a different pond.
Yeah. That's true.
I found nothing wrong with the photo - and I feel indifferent towards him overall. If he’s cast I’m sure he’d be good - if not then no big loss for me.
Even with a beard, he wasn't too convincing as a villain in The Gray Man. Even taking into account he was meant to be an evil geek, he gave little menace.
