After the Skyfall Credits

Has anybody waited till the end of the credits on a bond film to see the , bond will return heading. I did for die another day.

Also, does anyone think they will announce the next bond film title on the skyfall credits, like they used to in the Sean Connery era. ?

I usually do when I see a Bond film for the first time in the cinema. I don't really expect them to reveal the title at the end of Skyfall with the way they've been with the movie titles as of late.

Having seen only 3 Bond films in theaters (DAD-present), I've never stayed until the end of the credits (even on DVD). There are movies I do that for (Marvel films, for instance) and films I don't (generally anything I don't know if there's a post-credits scene).

My family ALWAYS stays till the end of every movie. Always been our thing. Sometimes their is sometimes their isnt but I honestly dont think their will be just because the minute it premiers their will be news saying the next Bond film is called this.. I mean it would suck to have it spoiled like that but I definately think they will say "James Bond Will Return"
  • I usually sit thru the end credits, but EON's not gonna announce the next title. It's been just "James Bond Will Return" since AVTAK, whose title was given as "From a View to a Kill" (same as the Ian Fleming short story) at the end of Octopussy--the second time the next film in the end credits proved to be wrong. (TSWLM said the next film was FYEO, but they made Moonraker instead.) The way Bond films are made nowadays, there's no way EON knows enough about Bond 24 to name it.

With Bond, I always stay until the end, not only to see the 'JB will return' credit, but also just to say I officially watched all of it. Sitting through to the end and seeing 'JB will return in POAL or Risico' would be the icing on an already seemingly delicious 'Classic Bond' cake. I highly doubt the next film will be revealed in any future releases, although it's not entirely impossible.
  • I love to sit through the ending credits, for both to pay my respect to the people who made the film, and to see if we who do sit through it gets some sort of candy-scene :D

I dont think they're gonna announce the title of the next film, but I would really like it if they would.

That would be cool but it's difficult to imagine it happening these days.

I always wait for the credits to end.
  • With Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace I think I sat through a bit of the end credits just for the music.

One other reason that i sit til the end, is that in my small cinema, its a pain getting out when busy, so i wait till everyones left. Also its always nice to see the bond will return heading, even though you know he will.

I am watching Skyfall in a large cinemworld first though, so i wont have an issue. But i am watching it again at night, at my local cinema. If i realy enjoy it. , and i think i will
  • who thinks they will do the bond theme on the credits like with casino royale?? or go straight to some other music

I'm pretty sure that it's the Bond theme for the first 2 minutes of the end credits and then the titlesong comes. Unless they have another song for the end credits like they had in TND.
  • What would be quiet good would be at the end of the credits, we see a chair that swivels and all we see is a man stroking a white cat...then they should have James Bond will return in...

That would be pretty good actually for the 50th Anniversary

  • I dont know about a man with a white cat, i dont think bringing back or recrating a bon villian is a good idea. Each bond film has to have a new villian. I dont mind having the same villian back, but not a recreation of one. It would be too, ..... whats the word?

I always do as it gives me peace of mind! Especially when i see those important word. "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN"

As for the title of the next film? This alas i cannot see as much as i would love them too! Especially with an unused Fleming title! [-O<

just thought it would be a nice touch to it.

Yes, i respect your opinion. I would like something at the end of the film, would be quite cool .

That's what I'd expect too. I also sit through the credits and for a very long time now, basically since the source material short of possible titles has essentially run out, it hasn't changed. "James Bond Will Return" is about all one should expect rather than live in hope on this one.

I agree we won't get a title, it's too big of a thing by itself and is used to get the Bond machine going but I'm sure something is known about the next film. Logan was said to be working on ideas as far back as October, so they'd have had a year when Skyfall comes out, to come up with some sort of script.

QOS is the only one. It whas only 6 minutes and the lights where stil off. I don't think people make a problem with it because of the short time of the rest of the movie. And i agree the music whas much difrent and better then the last 2 end credits. Shame that the music is not on the score. So insteed of walking a way after 100 minutes moost people in that room have seen the complete 106 minutes.

Or i think Skyfall end should be 6 minutes too, mabey it should if i like the rest because it mean that the rest be longer too. Then Skyfall indeed be the movie with the longest movie footage also if going to be the same screentime as CR include credits. Iam not sjure but i think CR is 135 + 10 minutes end credits and then Skyfall wil be 139 + 6 minutes. That means there have 4 minutes more of actualy movie footage then CR. Also a 6 minutes credits can been intresting for Thomas Newman to make alternate cut of Adele her song with mabey some Bond theme followd.

Always have since Goldeneye - my wife thinks its mad, But I always hope for a little something afterwards. I even do it on the games as well, once the credits have finished :))
  • It'd be a nice touch but I normally leave when the credits start anyway, so makes no difference to me.
  • There's something about seeing those words...hope that day never comes when they dont put it up, be sad day in 007 heaven

I always stay till the end of the credits, though more because of the soundtrack rather than the credits themselves.
  • I actually would love for the Bond films to end in my lifetime. But hopefully when I'm like 80 :D I would just hate to think I'd be missing any!!...not that I'd care, I mean I'd be dead and all.
  • We stayed behind for QOS and Royale, just to see the movie the whole way through even if the former was a disaster. At least with Royale, you had not only the fine Cornell song but the traditional Bond theme with it before the picture faded from view. Can't really remember before that, in 2002 we may well have stayed again until the very end for Brosnans last release, but can't quite think back beyond that. I guess we're the same as everyone else, some stay, some leave. Regardless of who does the Bond theme this year, and it may be included at the end as before, I feel we'll still be in our seats until the very end like before, but this could well be subject to change, but that's what we plan to do

I hope they don't play the 007 theme song over the end credits, even for part of the time. I've really had enough of this. I wish they'd start playing the title song right from the beginning of the end credits or atleast a well made rendition of it (not a horrible techno version) or a completely different song like in the Dalton era and the first two Brosnan films.
  • I am living in Israel and for the first time I have known about a movie has come out here BEFORE the states! Although I am only 25 I have grown up with James Bond. My father owns all of the first edition Ian Fleming books, we have all of the James Bond movies on VHS as well as DVD and even some of the original toys from the 60's and 70's. Needless to say his love of 007 is in my bones.

That being said I can say...with out a doubt, Skyfall is my favorite James Bond movie. It has everything. From raw fight scenes to some (but not too many) gadgets, well executed and not overdone homage to one of the most important characters of so many of the original Bond movies and a peek into Bond's past.

All in all, I was amazingly impressed with the new 007 movie and I hope you will be as well. And the end credits only say... "James Bond will return" which is such a great since that the British secret agent isn't going anywhere anytime soon
